Painting the roses red!
We're painting the roses red!
I cut my wrist and held my breath
And now we're painting the roses red!Walking into wonderland
The Chester cats my biggest fan
So much to hide behind this grin
Look in my eyes, I disappear againLike the white rabbit, always running late
My own life the very important date
Chasing the clock like I'm chasing my tail
Always try to be on time though I always failThe Mad Hatter is sane compared to my brain
The March hares oddities are a children's game
Their laughter sprinkles like a soft spring rain
That pours down just to wash me awayBlowing smoke to obscure the view
Looking in the mirror asking "Who are You?"
Too many legs but not enough to stand
Reaching for the answers as they slip through my handsTwo sides to every coin and team
Always flipping faces to hide which is me
I see with one set of eyes, speak with one mouth
Jealously guarding the other side: it mustn't come outScreaming like a dormouse
Quietly stroking a fire to put out
Delirious with the words coming out of my mouth
Yelling at the top of my lungs yet making no soundRampaging through the foreign world of my veins
Eat this, drink that, I am no longer sane
I am the size of a house, I am smaller than a mouse
No matter what I do, the world is a doubtLooking at my kingdom, this world I have built
There's something not right with the things that I see
The issue is that the living Queen is Me
Off with my head! Then paint my roses red.
