A few weeks later...
"Okay guys, get out your workbooks and start working. I'll be at my desk if you have any questions." Remy said, beginning to walk back to his desk.
He scanned the room, seeing which students were absent and which students weren't doing their work.
As he neared his desk, he noticed that Sean, one of his students, had turned a ghostly white color. He decided to approach Sean and talk to him.
"Hey, Sean. Are you feeling okay?" Remy asked.
Sean started to nod before shaking his head. "I've felt pretty sick all morning."
"You need to go to the nurse?" Remy asked, concerned that Sean was going to throw up everywhere.
Before he could get a response, Sean went limp and started falling forward.
Before he could even think to react, Remy grabbed Sean.
"Shit!" Remy whispered to himself.
Now, students were looking at Sean and Remy, confused by what was going on.
After thinking about what to do, Remy picked Sean up and put him on his shoulders, in a fireman's carry, effortlessly. He quickly made his way to the door and out of the room, students watching as Remy ran down the hall.
He ran to the nurse's office, pounding on the closed door.
After a few minutes of pounding, a woman, about Remy's age, opened the door.
"Can I help you?" She said, a rude tone to her voice and a frown on her face.
"My student," Remy pointed to Sean as best as he could, "Passed out during class. He said he was feeling sick."
She looked to where Remy was pointing and her expression softened. "Follow me."
Remy followed her into a room with a small bed.
"Lay him here and let him rest. I'll tell you when he's awake." She said.
"Thank you...I don't know your name." Remy said.
"Grace. I'm Grace." She said, extending a hand for Remy to shake.
"Remington." He shook her hand, giving her a smile.
She smiled back, a faint blush on her face. "It's nice to meet you, Remington."
"You too, Grace. Well, I better get back to my students. I'll come back to check on him later." He waved to Grace and started walking out of the office.
"I'll be expecting you," Grace said as Remy walked out of the office.
~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remy walked into the nurse's office, coming back to check on Sean.
He walked into the room with the bed and saw that Sean was awake.
"Hey, Sean. You feeling any better?" He asked.
Sean smiled a little. "Yeah, Mr. Brooks. Thanks for asking. Now, how did I get here?"
Remy smiled. "I was asking you if you needed to come down here, and you passed out. So, I carried you down here."
"Thanks," Sean said, a smile still on his face.
"Anytime. Now, I'm going to get going, but I'll check on you later." Remy patted his shoulder and walked out of the room.
"Hey, you," Grace said, stopping Remy in his tracks.
"Hey." He said while approaching her.
"Sorry I was kinda rude to you this morning. I was thinking, maybe, I could make it up to you." She said, tucking a piece of alburn hair behind an ear. "So, would you like to go to dinner with me sometime?"
Remy bit his lip. "I don't know. I'm a pretty busy guy."
"Please! It'll be my treat." Grace begged.
"I'll have to think about it, but I'll get back to you," Remy said, walking out of the office.
Once in the hall, he started walking back to his classroom. Since he didn't have a class to get back to, he stopped by Oliver's classroom.
"Hey," Remy said as he walked in the door.
"Hey!" Oliver said from his supply closet. "What's up?"
Remy responded. "Nothing, but I have a question. Are you good with dating advice?"
Oliver came out of the supply closet and cocked an eyebrow. "I guess, why?"
"Well, I might be going on a date."
