Dakota stood alone on a street he did not know. He looked around, like he was expecting someone. The heavy fog blocked most of my vision and the dim light in the street lights flickered every few minutes. All I could really see was Dakota. His face was mixed up in a lot of emotions. Terror. Confusion. His lips began to form words, but I could not hear what came out.
A shadowy figure appeared from a dark alley behind me. He looked that way in surprise and started to run towards me. Only it wasn't me. It was another me standing about ten feet from where I stood. I could barely see the person that was me, but what I did see was something terrifying. My clone spun around and looked right at me with glowing red eyes. She knelt to the ground in a position to pounce and growled. Dakota ran up to her picking her up and yelled something I could not make out. She somehow got out of his arms and charged towards me. I covered my eyes with my arms in an attempt to protect myself. I felt so weak.
All of a sudden, I heard a blood curdling scream. I glanced over to the sound and saw my clone clutching her stomach screaming as she hit the ground on her knees. The shadowy figure crept closer to us, getting bigger as it got closer. The screaming got louder and she started to scratch at her face. Blood trickled down under her finger tips. I started to run to her side, but then everything turned to blackness. Just then Dakota yelled, "Stop! No!" Then my sight was back."Emma! No, this wasn't supposed to happen." He turned to me. "You! Why did you do this?" I looked down at my clone and found gashes in her chest. She lay on the ground passed out but still breathing. I was so confused. How would I have done that?
There was a growl behind me. I turn around and to find a little boy with fangs and claws. He was half hidden in the shadows. Dakota must have been talking to him. "How could you do this? I thought you loved her!" Dakota cried.
There was a growl once more and then the strange boy took a step forward. "Get out of here, Dakota, before I have to take you as well. Save yourself. I did not kill her, so don't you worry. My boss needs her." He strided past me to pick my clone up. "Oh and by the way, they will be coming for you and the others once they find out I let you go. Prepare yourselves."
The fog cleared and I could see everything clearly. I looked around and noticed we were outside our home. The light shined through the few windows the building had. My attention went back to Dakota.
Dakota grabbed the boys arm. "Don't do this, Seth!" I looked at him in surprise. It did look like Seth but a bit older. What is going on. I tried to take a step forward but couldn't. I was stuck like I was standing in cement. Seth slashed Dakota's arm, making Dakota let go of him and hold his own arm.
"Dakota!" I screamed.
Seth turned towards me. "Emma, get the kids and run. This is your only chance. I needed to warn you so you would not have to go through this. They want you as a weapon. Do not trust anyone. Not even me." He looked sad and gave me an apologetic smile. "I regret working for them. I am so sorry." He went to grab me too, but before his long claws wrapped around my arm, everything went black again.
