First day of school the very first day of high school.
I'm going to die.
Nothing more worth saying. I can feel it, feel it in my bones. Nothing will go right this year. Just like the year before that in the last year of middle school. Then the year before that in the year before the last year of middle school. And then, you know what I'm just going to stop myself there because I could go on and on but, do I really want to is the question here. Oh look at that the answer is: no. How bothersome such thoughts void of any confidence before my alarm has even gone off yet.
*beep* *beep*
I slam my hand down on my phone missing it completely and instead hitting my hand against the bedside table. I let out a small shriek. "Of course, the perfect way to be woken up on the first day of school. A blaring alarm and a sharp bone breaking blow to the hand. Yay." I mutter to myself. Okay so I'm a little overdramatic but I mean.. that really hurt. I start to drift off into a world where I'm woken up, not by an alarm clock, but instead by my dear significant other. What a wonderful dream.
*beep*
"Oh you're so kind I'm so glad to have someone like you here to wake me up everyday. Oh dear I love you. I wish we could just stay like this forever."
"Beep beep"
"Uhh... what?
"BEEP BEEP"
"WHAT IS HAPPENING!"
*beep beep*
I wake back up in a cold sweat, and turn to look at my phone again. "Welp, I guess it's a good thing I set more then one alarm." Finally I get up and start to get dressed.
I brush my long, brown, tangled mess into an even messier ponytail. I shove my arms into a jacket that may or may not be just a tad bit to big for me. And by that I mean it's so large I could probably almost wear it as a dress, which I would never. I then throw on my favorite pair of boots, throw my bag over my shoulder and I'm out the door and already down at the bus stop.
I sit down on one of the left seats closest to the top. But you know not right in the direct eyesight of the driver because who would do that? I shove my earbuds into my ears and start listening to some rock music. Before I know it I feel a tap on my shoulder. Apparently the entire bus was already full. This is a lot more kids then in middle school. I scoot my bags and myself over so that the person could sit down. Then continue jamming out to my music.
"Hey."
"..."
"Hey!"
She looks over at me. And takes one earbud out.
"I'm sorry I couldn't hear you. What did you say?"
"Oh well I just wanted to know what you we're listening to. You seemed pretty in to it."
She shot me a confused look however she showed me anyway.
"Oh.. um.. this." She stuttered and showed me her phone screen. Then screen read a familiar rock band's name.
"Oh hey, I listen to them!"
She smiled.
"Well I mean who doesn't?"
She let out a nervous laugh.
I chuckled to myself.
"Alright ,ya little ragamuffins, get off my bus."
What weird guy. He didn't even tell me his name after he interrupted my song for that stupid question. Ugh. Great way to start off a school da... NO ONLY GOOD THOUGHTS! We need good thoughts to get us through the week! Through the school year!
I then proceeded to walk into a pole.
"Kill me."
