Chapter 10

Cade's POV;
I can't believe what I've done. I should never had left her alone. But when I returned from a busy day in my office with ruby on my arm. I was quite shocked at what I saw. Pictures of my family and I were broken on the ground and glass was everywhere on the ground. I had to make an example of her in front of ruby. I couldn't let it slip especially with ruby next to me. My pack could find out and question my authority.
But my worst mistake was after I punished my mate and left her alone in my room tied up, whilst I had sex with ruby.
When I came back and found my mate laying there, with no emotion and looking half dead. My wolf cried for me for not protecting her. Although I've hurt her she always re-bounded back. But this time is different. She looks dead inside.
After putting my mate in the bathtub, I went back into my room and cleaned up the glass she smashed.
I was sweeping the glass up when my I felt as if I couldn't breathe. I grabbed at my throat not quite sure as to what was happening.
I rushed to the bathroom and ripped the door off hinges. My mate was submerged in the water, her hair was floating around the water and she wasn't moving. I ran towards her and pulled her body out of the water. Her skin was cold and her lips were blue.
I picked her up in between my arms and ran to the medical room.
The doctors came rushing in and to her aid. I ran my hands through my hair and walked outside of the pack house. I shifted into my wolf and took off.
