He thought he knew everything there is to know about love. After all, he was the heartbreaker in this love story.
But with her, he was treading on murky waters.
She was supposed to cry as he said the parting words, "Its not you, its me."
She was supposed to beg to him to stay. Instead she sighed and whispered "Thank you,"
He was taken aback. The heartbreaker wasn't supposed to be thanked. He was supposed to be slapped and cursed at.
"Why?" he asked.
"Thank you for the short-lived lovestory. It was nice to feel something again," she answered then smiled.
The heartbreaker's heart broke as tears sprung from her eyes. It was supposed to be the other way around.
She looked at him and smiled.
"Why?" he asked again.
"Love arrives and leaves when its supposed to,"
She knew what she felt for him was love eventhough it might be nothing more to him than just a game ---a cruel game of I-bet-I-can-make-the-sad-girl-fall-in-love-with-me.
"I'm sorry," he said. Isn't this what every heartbreaker says to make themselves feel better?
"You broke my heart but I still love you with all of its shattered pieces,"
He was the heartbreaker in this love story, so why was his heart breaking while watching her fragile heart break?
