Falling For You

"Aubree!! Look it's your man candy!" Lauren says with a wink. I quickly turn to the giant doors at the front of the school and roll my eyes. I forgot. It's the beginning of the second semester. January 7- the day I was dreading yet so many girls could not stop talking about. She knows I completely despise him. "MATTHEW ! MATTHEW I LOVE YOU !" Was all you could hear. I turn away from my locker, focusing on the giant group of girls in the hall, completely ignoring the fact that Lauren was talking.

*Bell Rings*

"Well, there's the bell. See ya in an hour! Bye Bree!" Lauren says as she walks to her first period- social studies.

I should be going to health but Something in me just does not want to move from the spot I was in from 5 minutes ago. I want to go to class but I can't. My body is still and my arms and legs feel droopy. Why? Probably because it's the first day back from Christmas Break. I hope so.

I finally gained the courage to move and go to class. My seat in that class is in the back right corner..everyone knows that. I walk in to class to see the all-too-wonderful Matthew in my seat. My friends in my class looked at me then at Matthew then at me again. I was pissed. Even the teacher knew that that was MY seat. I survived that class- in a different seat. It was odd, but I lasted.

The end of the day was near and I was glad. Track season started today. I was so happy because track is my life. Usually I run the 100 meter and 200 meter dash and the relay. Hopefully this will be my chance to get away from Matthew. I get outside and jog my two laps and start stretches. Nope. I was wrong. There he was acting all smug. I shook my head and went with Stella and Nicole.

"Hey Aubree .. looks like you got yourself a secret admirer," Stella says with a wink and a nod. That was my cue to turn around and as soon as I turn around I see Matthew.

Could it be possible that he..? No way. It's his first day here and he doesn't even know my name. Why would he anyways?
