Chapter 2! Again not edited.

Enjoy!

The parking lot was nearly empty as I drove to the front and turned the car off. Peace and silence. That's the what I preferred things. I've never complained about school before, because I'm smart and I do well with teachers, but the noise is something I don't enjoy. Everyone is just so loud. I mean most the time they are right next to each other and they are yelling into each others ears. I might be exaggerating but I get the point by.

Today was relatively cool and I didn't mind it one bit, but it did make me regret not bring a jacket. I sighed and looked at my phone. 7:30. I have twenty minutes before people start arriving. So I laid my head back and closed my eyes.

I saw a bright white light that slowly faded to nothing. Curious, I followed the disappearing light. By time I reached the source of the blinding light it was nearly the size of a candle flame that flickered in front of me. I was freaked out a little by the fact there was nothing but the flame, and the fact that it changed all sorts of colors. I cupped my hands underneath the tiny flame and then closed my hands. I didn't feel any heat, but when I opened my hand an imprint of a flame was tattooed on my palm. It had every color you could ever think of swirling around. I watched it carefully as the colors dissolved into my hand. Pain flickered up my arm and into my chest. I panicked as my heart slowed and I struggled to breathe. I went to scream out but nothing came.

I heard a knock that woke me. Jumping up and almost hitting my head I looked out my window to see a dark haired boy standing outside my car. Catching my breath I looking down at my hand to see nothing. So many questions swarmed through my head. What did I eat? Why did that feel so real? Am I going crazy? Shaking my head I turned my attention to the stranger. He had one eyebrow raised. I reached for my bag and opened the door.

"Hey."

"Hello." I stammered. After getting a good look at this boy he was quite an eye catcher.

"My name is Brandon." He smiled

"Amilea." I replied shortly

"Are you okay? When you woke up you were sweating bullets and was as pale as a ghost."

"Yea um...I just had a bad dream.."

"Sure it was."

"Why are you talking to me." I snipped

"Well for one I was actually pretty worried about you, and secondly I am pretty important to you." he replied harshly

"How so?"

"You'll find out later...maybe when you aren't so damn grouchy."

"Well I don't really like people."

"Well neither do I so I guess we will get along like two peas in a pod." it came out dripping with sarcasm.

I huffed away...childish I know, but I didn't enjoy it when others spoke to me that way. Weird because I talk to people that way, but no one claimed I was logical.

Classes inched by like a snail, and you could tell even the teachers were bored. The lunch bell rang saving all students from the 'this is the class rules and they are the same in every class but we have to tell you anyway' speech. Grabbing my lunch from my locker I went outside to the garden that rested in the middle of the school grounds. Yea. I know. A freaking garden. My eyes landed on a opening that was surrounded by trees of all shapes and kinds, and flowers that littered the area with all the colors of the rainbow. Not being as hungry I decided to spend my lunch taking a nap. I laid my head down and took in the smell of roses and tulips; the sun warmed my skin to a relaxing temperature and it wasn't long before I drifted off.
