CHAPTER TEN

CHAPTER TEN:
I decided that now was the time. I sent a ball of light towards the camp to summon the Lost Boys. They arrived really quickly. They surrounded Henry and Emily. I dropped down to the trees. The boys came out the woods. I flew behind Emily and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and I blew poppy flower dust in her face while Nibs did the same to Henry. They both collapsed on the ground. I picked Emily up Princess-style and started walking back to the camp. I looked down at her in my arms. She was just as beautiful as ever. When we arrived back, I carried her into her bedroom and laid her on the bed. I kissed her on the forehead and walked out.

I woke up in my old bedroom in the tree. I got up and walked down. I was in the camp. Everyone was asleep. Only one person was asleep except Henry.

"Henry!" I said and ran over to him.

"Emily! How did we get back here?" he said.

"Poppy dust." I said plainly.

"Excuse me?"

"Poppy dust. It puts you to sleep if you inhale it. Peter has an endless supply of it on this island."

"He's out for my heart."

"I know. My Peter would never do that. But it's not him anymore."

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine."

"Your Peter never left." I heard behind me.

"Yes, he did. He checked off the island a hundred years ago."
