Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Madi's POV

When I got out of the car, I ran back inside remembering my green and purple penny board. I stuffed it in my backpack and ran to the Grier's. I didn't even have to knock because i basically lived there.

"NASH, HAYES GET YOUR LAZY ASSES DOWN HERE," I scream.

I go into the kitchen and pour myself a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch. I hear bangs coming down the stairs and suddenly realize my left sleeve is up. I panic and quickly pull it down. Oh, wait, I didn't talk about that. I cut myself. One day I was in my bathroom and the words kinda just got to me. Hayes comes down and sits next to me. "Really, eating again," Hayes chuckles.

I lift my fist as to hit him, but Nash holds my wrist back, almost having my scars revealed.

"Why do you guys hate each other so much?" questions Nash.

I never had the heart to tell Nash the types of things his younger brother does to me. Plus, if I told him, he'd immediately hit him. I could and have already done that and it didn't do anything. Also, I'm independent and like doing things by myself.

"Because she's an ugly slut," says Hayes matter-of-factly.

It was now Nash's turn to lift his fist.

"Nash, it's ok," I say. Then I turn to Hayes,

"It was a rhetorical question dumbass," Nash rolls his eyes and leaves the room. Hayes comes up to me and whispers in my ear sending chills down my spine,

"Stop being so damn smart-ass-ish, ugly, and sluttish, then maybe you wouldn't be bullied."

As we piled into Nash's car, Hayes' girlfriend Jamie came over. She was so frickin tall. She was my main bully.

"Hayesie boo!" she screams.

They run over to each other and have a full out make out session for like a minute. I rolled my eyes and ran to the way back of the mini van. I texted my friends Caroline, Brooklyn, Jennie, Jenna, and Torre.

"guess who joined the party bus😒 FUDGING JAMIE" I quickly hit send. After a what seemed to be a 10 minute car ride of hearing the two suck face, we finally pulled up to the school. Before I could get bullied by Jamie and Hayes (they're worst together tbh) I grab my Penny and ride all the way into the school until I get to my locker. Torre, Caroline, Brooklyn, Jennie, and Jenna were already there. Torre was the sporty one I met in track, she has long brown hair and gorgeous brown eyes. Caroline is the queen of social media, she has medium brunette hair and stunning brown eyes hidden by glasses like me. Brooklyn has flawless brown hair and brown eyes also, she's been with me since the beginning of preschool. Jennie has a somewhat reddish color hair and amazing hazel eyes and is the bomb at lacrosse. Jenna has a dirty blonde type of hair and beautiful blue-green eyes. Thank god we all have homeroom together. I put my stuff away in my locker and walked to homeroom with my best friends,

my only friends.
