Sprinting through this unknown territory I'm on high alert looking for my Luna. All of a sudden a shiver of fear passes through me chilling me to the bone. My beast already on alert and moving as fast as she can, pushes harder. I've never felt her this pissed. No, not pissed she's furious!

Finally making it past the trees and into a large clearing with houses, stores, and wolfs all walking around. A little kid sees my beast and screams in horror. The child's mother sees me and immediately shifts to protect her pup. Weak. That's all I can think as I see her puny, omega, brown wolf lift its head and howl to alert the guards of my presence. Almost instantaneously all the other wolfs shift too. Females corral all the pups leading them to safety, while the males gather together to form a blockade and stop me.

I don't stop. She won't let me. She has no interest in fighting theses puny omegas. We keep running, not slowing down. They're not moving. She's not changing course. With one loud, low warning growl we barrel through them. A brown wolf with black speckling bites my shoulder. Pain. She still won't stop she just whips her head around and grabs the wolf by the neck and rips him from our shoulder taking a chunk with him and fling him 30 feet away into the side of a brick building. His body hits with a loud smack and he slumps to the ground no doubt dead or very close to it. I can hear them behind us trying to keep up. She looks behind us long enough to see 15 brown males trying to keep up. She doesn't care they can't catch up.

Dodging back and forth between buildings is starting to annoy us, but I can hear a loud growl and a lot of commotion in front of us. My beast, shes starting to become worried. We get closer and closer to the growling, realizing that's where our Luna is she goes ballistic and only sees red. For once, since we were declared we're on the same page. I'm ready to tear into someone anyone who hurts my Luna. Finally clearing the buildings there's nothing but trees between us and the growling. We sprint through the trees jumping over large rocks, ducking under low hanging branches, and even jumping over a stream. We jump over a large bush growling as we land making our presence known. Six grey and white wolfs look at  me and immediately start snarling at me, while a red she wolf growls with her head low and tail tucked backing up slowly towards the bushes behind her. My beast charges for the six grey wolfs easily snapping two of their necks before a loud snarl pounces from behind us. We turn around to reveal a large dark red wolf, the Alpha. We make eye contact and he looks confused for a second before lowering his head growling and circling us.

I'm shocked, doesn't he know I'm a guardian? My fur is black, my eyes are purple, and I'm FUCKING bigger than he is! Another wave of fear passes through me and I realize its not my fear. I look around, past the Alpha and see the last four brown wolfs latched on to the now lifeless body of the red she wolf. Behind them I see it. Little green eyes watching the wolves. They haven't noticed it, yet. Pain shoots through my back. I forgot about the Alpha now on my back ripping his teeth into my back shaking his head trying to cause more damage. Whipping our head around back and forth trying to get a hold of him uselessly before dropping to our back to roll him off. He's whimpering, I must've crushed his ribs. Ignoring him I finish off the last four brown wolves before turning back to the little green eyes, now watching me. Luna.  My beast whimpers, and drops to her stomach crawling towards the child hiding behind the bush.

The little girl steps toward me, I stop moving and let her come to me. My beast connects to her wolf and forces her to shift. She shifts into a light red pup. Confident she won't run away my wolf walks over to her and gently picks her up by the scruff of her neck needing to get her out of danger. I turn around and the Alpha is gone. Not worrying about it, we cautiously walk back through the territory staying in the trees to avoid any unnecessary confrontation. I can tell she doesn't belong to this territory. I feel bad for her, having just watched her mom die. I can feel her wolf's pain and sadness, but I know she doesn't understand what's happening. I know she only trusts me because of the bond.

We make it to the edge of the territory and back across the border with no problems. Finding my back pack I gently set the pup down. Not wanting to let her out of my site I shift in front of her and quickly change into some fresh clothes, noting my bloody shoulder, and no doubt back I chose a black shirt with black pants. After I finish putting my boots on I carefully slip the back pack on to my now aching back. I adjust the straps before bending over and carefully picking up the small pup and carry her as we start walking with no destination.
