Chapter 2

29th may 2014 05:09pm

“Yeah, he’s in room 125 sweetie. George” She called to a man who looked in his late twenties. He turned his head are way acknowledging are calls, he had a lot of stubble, big bushy eyebrows. When he blatantly huffed of him having to work. He made his way over asking what she wanted. “Could you please take this young lady to room 125 please?”  “Sure” he puffed. When he started walking I had to quicken my paste to keep up with him.

We stopped outside the room and he just left, but I was glad he did.

I knocked on the door, then heard a faint “come in” from the other side. I pushed the heavy door open, peeping inside. There was Dylan lying on the bed, shirtless...  I had to turn my head to stop myself from blushing.  “Hey” I spoke as if meeting for the first time, he gestured me to go over to him, as soon as he said that my confidence grew and I, in a way sprinted over to him. “I was so worried” I whispered as I clung to him for dear life.

“Why?” he questioned, “because you weren’t answering your phone and then I went round to your house, then Tia said you were in hospital and I panicked” I blabbered on. Which Dylan just laughed at, “well if you must know, I had an allergic reaction to hazelnuts, because I thought I was eating normal chocolate spread, but obviously not.” He spoke simply. I just nodded when a nurse walked in; I jumped of Dylan in a hurry.  She snickered lightly then spoke “right Dylan you can go home now, just sign here” she gestured pointing to a red piece of paper.

Once everything was over, after the nurse blatantly tried to flirt with him we were on our way home.

Tia refused to pick us up, so we had to walk...  half way back to mine Dylan offered me a piggy back which I gladly accepted. I giggled as he ran, old couples either giving us angry looks like we were disrupting the community. And some looking at us like we had a romance like them, (I wish.)

When back at Dylan’s I hugged him goodbye, and made my way back. Not knowing what would be there.

I moved slowly up to my front door, pushing the key in the slot. Making sure it was locked; I went into the living room, and flopped down on the couch. I closed my eyes for half a second, before I felt a hand placed onto my shoulder. “Where did you go this morning Beth?” he asked digging his nails into the thin fabric of my shirt. A squeak of pain left my mouth. “I-I’m sorry, I needed a bath, I-I’m sorry” I stuttered tears brimming in my eyes.

“Well that’s not going to happen again, is it?” I vigorously nodded to scared to say anything.  He came round to the front of me I shrunk my head away from him, so I didn’t have to look into his beady eyes glaring into my soul.

His fingers forced my chin up to look at him; a tear slithered down my face. It moved fast like trying to avoid his line of view as well.

When his hand rose up, I tightly shut my eyes. But I never felt the pain. All I heard was a rough in-take of breath. My eyes flew open.

Dylan had Kyle pressed up against the wall, I was quick on my feet. Not knowing what to do, he continually threw punches into Kyle’s gut. With one swing he was out cold on the living room floor.
