Your POV
Steven was absent from all the classes for the entire day, and Rebeca went, but she didn't talk to me or at least sit next to me. I know those two got dissed, but it's no reason to ignore me. Well, you did leave them in the dark about who you are. Perhaps they found out? A voice in the back of his mind said, sadly, it was very true indeed. Rachel kept me company at the classes we did share, but apart from that, I was completely alone.
I groaned in frustration, even though it was Diana's fault that they were acting like this, I couldn't help but be mad. It was already after classes and I was making my way to the library to do some assignments, schoolwork assignments. I was walking down an empty corridor when my phone buzzed, I took it out and looked at my notifications. It was a text that came from Steven. It read:
Hey, if there's any homework, just tell it to me once you get back to the room. I'm not feeling well.
I grunted and began to type a message that told him to come see me at the library. I was in no mood to walk all the way back to the dorms on the other side of the campus and back to where I was, right in front of the book place. I had to go and I can't even Google my homework, it was a history paper about spies. Since their missions are top secret, I had to do this the old-fashioned way.
I pushed open the double doors to get inside. I half-expected the place to be one of those typical libraries you'd find at a typical school, but my other was right about what it thought, my mouth was wide open as I viewed the place. The room was circular and had two floors, the stairs were left, right, and front from the entrance that it had. The middle of the second floor's section was completely cut out, leaving a view of the chandelier that lit up the middle of both floors, a few more minor light fixtures lined the first floor's roof, and the second floor too, lighting up the places the big chandelier can't. I took a step inside and started to look around, a maze of round bookselves stood, all facing outwards from the middle of the room. They were all lined completely with books, and more bookshelves were filled with the objects, I wondered just how many they had and how they kept track of the massive collection. At the middle was where the tables were, there was at least ten tables, all complete with seats for students. Apart from the librarian at the second floor who was pushing a steel cart filled with books, there was no one else at this place, that was strange.
"Alright, just gonna do some homework." I muttered to myself as I placed my schoolbag down on one table and started to look at them all. 'Just a history paper, you can do this.' I assured myself, hoping that it was gonna be easy, but it wasn't.
I sat there, staring at the blank piece of paper, my pen raised above it. I then dropped it in defeat and disappointment, I didn't listen at the lecture, which meant I had to look for it. I stood up and walked towards the bookshelves, in the direction of the stairs to the second floor, maybe the librarian can help.
I was about to take the first step up before I heard a crash, then the sound of paper ruffling. My rush-aid senses kicked in and I ran over to the source of the commotion. I saw a girl in front of me picking up books from the ground.
I went over and started to help her pick up the fallen pieces of literature. The girl looked up at me with wide, sapphire-blue eyes. "No, no! You don't need to do that." She waved out her hands and grabbed the books that were in my hands.
