A/N POVs next chapter!!!
After the very long silence and waiting Zoey decided to run. Just run... run until no one can see you, just hurry! She had just left Duncan, and still did not know where Rythian was. She had failed no remote...
no... Rythian.
Duncan was left in the castle, with a broken heart. He had put all of his energy into this ring... all for nothing. He could do nothing... nothing but cry. The love of his life just ran away, he could do nothing about it.
"Why," Duncan sobbed "why does no one ever stay with me. My family basically disowned me, my brother left, and the only person to show me what love really is... j-just ran away!" He fell to the floor in tears, thinking about what he did wrong.
-Rythian as Zoey left-
"She just left... again. I have no idea what to do. This is all my fault, I should have not let her leave... we could have fixed this... together. I shouldn't even be in this world, I belong in the END to be tortured." He thought to himself.
Rythian glanced at the knife in the kitchen. "No, this can't be the answer!" He said aloud. He walked into the kitchen and sat down... his mind racing with all the different options, still looking over at the knife.
He walked over to it and griped the knife... shaking. He brought it to his chest. What he did not know was that Zoey was coming back right now and almost to the door.
Rythian had forced the knife into his heart as Zoey came running through the door. "NO!" Zoey screamed, horrified. "Zoey" Rythian coughed slowly fading away. Zoey held on to Rythian until he was no longer breathing. "Oh my gosh, how can I fix this!" Zoey said.
She started to gather supplies for a new item. "A mechanical heart!" she exclaimed. Her scientific side was about to shine for the first time. Zoey had thought about how mad Rythian would be if he found out there was a machine in him, but that was a risk she had to take.
When she finished crafting the heart she took the actual one out, it was disgusting, and put the mechanical one in. Zoey activated the heart with the remote she had made. Rythian was alive again! He was unconscious but breathing. Zoey took this as an opportunity to look under the mask. She lifted it up and "Oh my gosh!" Zoey thought, "This is what he has been hiding from me."
