“What the hell!” Theo shouted, reeling back away from Sarah. The glow emanated from her fingertips. Beams of light as bright as LEDs. Theo was starting to think that he wasn’t so paranoid after all. Just as suddenly as the glowing began, it stopped.

Sarah’s heart was pounding, and she was lying on something hard. As she bolted upright, she felt a hand on her stomach.

“You, are going to answer some questions, and you’re going to answer them now.”

Sarah locked eyes with the boy who worked in back of the bike shop. They were still in the maintenance room, but Sarah couldn’t remember how she got to this bench.

“Excuse me?” She glared at the boy. He stared coldly back at her.

“Who are you, and what do you know about the Wobegon project?” Theo demanded. He knew that under normal circumstances this would look very strange, but he didn’t care.  He had to know. Were the other things in his dreams true as well? The bombings, the satellites launched? The alien the government was keeping in area 53 codenamed Isac?

Sarah was silent. She looked at Theo. Scanned his face. She could sense his fear on  her skin, raising the hair on her arms.

Who are you?! His voice called in her mind. What do you know? Why are you here? Why now? Why you? Sarah saw flash after flash of terrifying visions. Men with guns that were charged with electricity. Scientists walking along catwalks around massive rockets.

What is happening to me?! Sarah pushed off of Theo.

    “Who are you!” She shouted.

Theo Thomas. She heard him say. Accept his lips didn’t move.

“How are you doing that?!” Sarah put her hands over her ears, trying to block it out. Theo took a deep breath.

“Look, I’m- I’ve seen you before. In a dream. You were in this- crater- I know this must sound insane but-”

“Then you know what happened to me?” Sarah’s voice got higher, and tightened. She wasn’t afraid of Theo. She was afraid of what all of this could mean.

“I don’t know what happened to you. I just saw what happened to you.”

“Well how the fuck is that helpful?!” Sarah yelled.

“Shh, not so loud!” Theo looked back at the door. “What the hell is wrong with you?” He hissed.

“Oh jee, I don’t know, last night I touched a meteor and now I can hear your thoughts?!”  Sarah said in little more than a whisper.

    “How is that my fault?!”

“I don’t know! You seem to know a hell of a lot more about this than I do!” Sarah  hissed.

“Alright. Okay.” Theo thought out loud to himself. “Clearly, we both have a lot to talk about. I get off work at twelve. Come back and I’ll have your bike ready.”

Sarah stood up to go.

“Hey, what’s your name?” Theo asked, looking back at her as she walked to the door.

“Sarah Mackenzie.” She said quietly, turning.

Theo stood, looking at this beautiful girl. Her body soft edges and curves. Her hair was cut like Emma Watson’s. Incredibly though, she could pull it off. She was sexy too, in a way that she knew she was sexy, but she didn’t over do it. She wasn’t even wearing make up. Her glasses slid down to the end of her nose, and she pushed them up again before leaving.
