* Troy POV *

My head was aching badly. My body felt numb. Was I dead? What a short life, that involved vampires. I don't even want to be involved with all this vampire shit. It's so confusing. All I remember from Hunter's explanation was that the vampires would protect me with there life because I was The Pure. I still don't understand the connection with Amelia! My mind flashed images of fangs, blood, and screaming innocent people. Are they that dangerous? Could I trust them? The last thing I remember before darkness took over was Amelia throwing me with ease. I wonder how old they are? That's kinda gross to talk to someone that's 'dead'. Suddenly, I heard the SpongeBob theme song with the creepy pirate's voice starting the song. Am I becoming delusional? The numbness was fading and I heard voices.

"Get some water. I think he is waking." A deep voice ordered.

"Turn down the stupid cartoon, Amelia." Another voice said. My eyes flew open and there was three people standing above me. It took a few seconds to adjust to the dim lit room.

"Hey" I croaked. I sounded awful. "Water" I said.

"Oh. yeah, here." Tyler said and handed me a bottle of pure water. I nodded. The water was helping my dry throat. When I took in the surroundings, Hunter and Julian were in the kitchen discussing something serious. Tyler was on the opposite side of the room near a lamp and reading a leather covered book. I looked around in search of Amelia. I sat up slowly because my head was still pounding.

"Here," Amelia said walking towards me with some Tylenol in her hand. Her violet eyes showed no emotion. I nodded and took the pills. Amelia sat down next to me and turned up SpongeBob. I just watch here smile at the stupid remarks that were said on the childish cartoon.

"How old are you?" I asked with curiosity.

"Well.... I'm 13, but I'm turning 16 in a few months." She said with a small smile.

"Your 13! So you became a vampire at 13?!"

"Yep" She said with a pop of the 'p'

"How come so early? Was it an accident?"

"No, It was my decision. I wanted to be with Julian and when the chance came I took it." She explained. Wow! 13 is kinda young and she did it to be with Julian. Now I definitely knew I could NEVER be with Amelia. "Did you move here at the start of high school?" She asked out of the blue.

"Uh.... um.... How did you know?"

" I lived here for 13 years and then left to be with Julian. I never remember seeing you here as a child, so you must of moved here when I left." She explained.

"Amelia?"

"yes?"

"Why do I have a pull towards you? I don't understand that part." I stated.

"Well, I'm The Belle and your The Pure. I needed the connection to locate you and I guess you feel the same. When I first saw you it was kinda painful. I guess that was instinct." She explained.

"Okay. So, what now?" I asked, hesitantly.

"Well, we are going to take you to our home!" She said with a wide smile.

"What?! I can't just leave and vanish. I have family, friends, and a dog. I can't just leave that."

"We explain to your Dad and he totally understands and it's getting dangerous here, Troy. We must leave, but if you want your dog I can pull some strings. I LOVE dogs." She said.

"Okay...well how do we get there?" I asked.

"That's for the Vamps to know and not the Human." She poked my nose and stood up. She left the room. I continued to watch the childish show.
