In her Quarters Annalisa Townsend woke up, feeling like this adventure was still very much a dream; a dream too good to be true. James Sterling, once a Pirate who had stolen her heart, now a Privateer hunting Pirates. Annalisa was still not sure how that had happened. But she was glad it did. James would be hanging by a rope right now if he hadn't been given this chance.
Annalisa heard a light timid knock at her cabin door. "Come in." She said absent mindedly. As the door opened and she saw the figure standing there, her heart gave a little thump and skipped a beat or two. James looked good as always, his eyes, those wonderful eyes, smiled as he did.
"Afternoon, my love. How are you faring today?" James asked as he came to sit on the edge of her bed.
"Afternoon? What is the time? How late have I slept?" Annalisa questioned alarmingly. "I have things to do today! I have plans! Why didn't you wake me earlier?"
My Darling, It is only noon, I figured you would need the sleep after all you had been though the past week. Leaving everything you knew behind. Leaving your life, your father to come Privateering with me. I am not sure he was too happy about that."
"Father only worries. I am his only daughter after all."
"I don't think he is too found of me" James said dryly. "I am stealing his only daughter away from him."
"It was my choice to come with you, not his, anyway, Father gave me free reign in the matter. I think he is proud of me, whether he says so or not."
"You always were one to speak your mind." James said, with a hint of a laugh in his voice. "Now come, we must get you some food."
"We shall if I am able to get out of my bed and get dressed, But that is a bit hard with a man in my quarters is it not?"
"Very well, I will go if I must." sighing James stepped out of the cabin, but not before getting hit with a pillow.
"James Sterling, you are preposterous." Annalisa tried to be serious, but despite her efforts a sort of a giggle bubbled up from her throat.
When the door shut fully Annalisa got out of her bed an ready for her day.
