I DON'T OWN THE ARTWORK! BEFORE READING, JUST KNOW, THIS STORY IS SCIENCE FICTION BASED. I AM BY NO MEANS A SCIENTIST, I'M MAKING THIS UP AS I GO, SO PLEASE BE NICE! ENJOY!
I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. Bunny's are supposed to be good at multiplying, but Mrs. Wilde only produced one kit. But to be fair, her mate is a fox, and they are bigger than bunnies. At least the serum worked.
The day Nick and Judy infiltrated my lab, I was prepared. Chemicals had been released into the air to provoke mating urges between the fox and bunny. All I needed to do was apply my experimental serum to the rabbit officer. It takes two to produce a child, but the female does most of the work. I needed to make Judy's body accepting of her mates DNA. Before I made my escape, I kissed her. She didn't know my lips were coated with a lip balm chocked full of the HP1 serum. The kiss transferred the chemicals to her body, absorbed into her skin, and began altering her DNA. To be honest, I didn't know whether or not the serum would work. One of three things were guaranteed to happen. Either it would make her body receptive to the foxes DNA, or it would overwhelm her system and kill her, or it wouldn't phase her at all.
When I heard of her pregnancy, I was proud. My research had worked, I had created the very first predator-prey hybrid. Other mammals laughed at me, and said I was insane. A fool. But they are the fools!
I'm Jesse Dingohopper, doing the impossible is what I'm good at. I was born a dingo, but through year of experimentation, I've altered my genetics. I'm faster than any mammal. Cheetahs move like sloths compared to me. My sense of smell is better than any wolf's. I have the strength of ten elephants, and the bite force of a crocodile. I am perfect.
But I couldn't stop with myself, I wanted to create hybrids. Fate smiled down on me that day. A fox and a bunny couple? I couldn't have been happier. They were the perfect candidates for my experiment.
For years I've watched from the shadows, waiting for the perfect time to take back my work. But she was never left alone for long. I got tired of waiting, so I just took her. I'm not completely heartless, I left a note so they'd know she was in capable paws.
"Where are we?" The hybrid asks me, studying me with curious lavender eyes.
"My lab." I answer dryly.
"Why?" She asked.
"So I can run experiments." I answer.
She's a weird creature. She hasn't screamed for help or tried to escape once, instead she's watched me in awe, studying me. I guess I look interesting to her. How humorous. She's the interesting one. Her ears are long with black marking on the tips. She is orange like a carrot, and looks like a bunny with a longer, bushier tail, and fangs. Surprisingly, she's a pretty little kit.
"Hey, hybrid, do you have night vision like your father?" I ask.
She glowers at me. "My name is Kimberly, not hybrid. And yes, I do, but only in my left eye."
Obviously, she detests the name hybrid. Guess I'll have to call her by her name if I want to stay in her good graces.
"Ok, Kimberly, do you have super hearing like your mother?" I inquire.
Her right ear droops, then shots back up. "Only in this ear."
Unbelievable, she only has partial night vision and super hearing. Night vision, super hearing, and keen sense of smell could've made her a super weapon. Though, I guess she still is a super weapon. Heck, she isn't even supposed to exist.
Grabbing her arm, I stick a needle in it, and draw blood. I need to study her DNA, it's most likely full of marvels. While I run her blood samples, I give her a cup of juice and some cookies to keep her occupied.
