Tony's room is as small as it used to be when I was here.
I am at Tony's house because he invited us here to do the speech together.
I'm glad the principal is letting us do this speech. We can all finally talk together about how the disappearance of Simon affected us.
We have all changed since the disappearance. I have become a lot more quieter now.
When I was with Simon he used to make me feel confident and he supported me a lot, probably the most.

I was generally picked on at school because of how I act and how I look.
I would hide in the library, so I could be away from all the darkness that was taking over me. Even though it felt quiet and lonely at times, it made me feel safe.

Simon saw me one day, hiding behind some bookshelves. I remember eating my lunch all alone. I was crying because I felt like no one really understood me.
That day all changed since he came and sat next to me. He didn't talk, he just sat there and kept me company.

That's the moment when I realised I wasn't alone in this world, that there are still good people out there, and that's the moment when I realised Simon would become my best friend. After that he sat next to me everyday, behind the bookshelves. We got to know each other a lot and he seemed like a very interesting person. We read comics together and Simon always used to bring chocolate, so we could eat it.
I was happy to finally find a friend that accepts me for who I am.

Simon then stopped showing up at out our special spot. He wasn't with me at recess or lunch.
He just vanished, he left me all alone.
He was always talking to other people, it was like he didn't even recognise me.
I was heartbroken, I didn't even know how a friend could do that to me.
I spent my whole time crying over some stupid thing.

Then one day our science teacher assigned what lab partner we had to work with.
I was of course chosen with Simon. It was awkward we didn't speak to each other. I was mad at him. After class Simon stopped me so we could talk alone.
I punched him in the face because I was that mad. He didn't fight back though, he just accepted the punch.
He apologised to me and he then introduced me to the group. So now I am in the group because of Simon, I couldn't be more happier.

The floorboards creek as I make my way to Tony's paintings. I take them out of his closet and I stare at them , admiring every single piece of artwork he has produced. They are all so amazing, I wish I was that talented. I then see one what spots my attention. I then show it to Tony.

"What's this one?" I ask. His eyes look at the painting with suspicion, he then immediately bursts out of his bed and grabs it.

"I thought I told you not to go in there!" Tony said and puts it back. Tony obviously doesn't want to talk about it. It is a incomplete painting of Simon. He then sits back down on his bed, doing his work. Francis is sitting next to him listening to some music.

"Tony the reason I am at your house is because we can talk about Simon, if you don't want to do that well what's the point of doing this speech then," I said. Tony looks at me and sighs.

"It's just a picture that Simon wanted me to paint for him, I didn't manage to complete it because he was gone..." Tony said fiddling with his pencil.

"Maybe you should finish painting it, it looks amazing."

Tony smiles softly and does his speech. I sit next to him and we all finally feel like a group. I miss us spending time together, it feels nice that we all are in each others company.
They both seem to enjoy it as well.
Suddenly we hear a loud knock on the door.
