chp 2- the storm

<Alias pov>
I start to sing to poor motherless arahi.

Drew looks at me
I fake a smile so he wont see
That i want and i need him
Everything that we should be

I bet shes beautiful
That girl he talks about
And shes got everything that i have to live without

Drew talks to me
I laugh cuz its just so funny
That i cant
Even see
Anyone when hes with me

He says hes so in love
Hes finally got it right
Wonder if he knows hes all i think about at night

Drew walks by me
Can he tell that i cant breath
And there he goes
So perfectly
The kind of flawless i wish i could be

So i drive home alone

Drew looks at me
I fake a smile so he wont see

Arahi watches me with intrest. She bobs her beautiful  head to the beat of the song. I smile at her as i watch her.

All of a sudden a loud crash is heard and all the adult horses freak out. Arahi neighs in fear and nuzzles into me. I rub her neck as a horsehand runs in hollering" its a big'un lads. This ol' girl is a sinking. We gotta leave her and the ho'ses."
I frown "we cant leave them!"
Horsehand" fine stay wi'em i don' care!" Runs out.

The horses shriek as another boom sounds. I talk to  them and calming them down. I start to unlock their gates and release them. Once they are out they follow me(afraid outta their minds but knowing i would save them) to let the others out. When they were all free i lead the way up on deck with arahi at my side and the others following close behind.

Once we make it on deck i notice everyone is gone except me and the horses. I then realize that the ship is filling with water. I find one of those telescopes and look for land. I see it to the left about 50 yards out.
I motion the horses over and point in direction of land and one by one the horses jump.

<Moonshadows pov (arahi)>

I follow the human called alias as bigger horses leave their "stalls" as alias calles them. I see 2 other foals with their mothers and i snuggle up to alias-my adopted mother. I follow her onto the top of the ship. After she looks around she points of to the left and the bigger horses jump into the big blue water. The only ones left are the 2 foals, me and alias.

Alias ties ropes around the 2 foals and walks to the edge of the ship we are on. She bobs her head and the mares of the 2 foals call to their babies. The 2 foals jump and alias jumps with them. Alias turns and looks at me calling" comeon arahi. Jump baby girl, jump!"
Not having to be told twice i jump with a giddy neigh. I splash into the ice cold water and shiver. I break the surface and gasp for air and shake my head looking for alias.

When i finally see her i start swiming to her and finally im beside her and the other foals. One of the foals was a blue speckled filly. She looks at me and smiles 'hi im skysong. You are?' ' im moonshadow but the human calls me arahi' i mutter  shivering. ' we may have to talk after we hit land.' I nod in agreement. 

Then we make it to land and we all- 21 horses and alias- lay on the ground exausted. 2 mares lay motionless and 2 studs cough uncontrollably. I sigh and lean against alias.

The filly called skysong nuzzles her mom and then turns to the colt 'whats your name?'  'The names snowhunter'  the colt says. I watch them as they nuzzle against their dams.

Skysong walks up to me with snowhunter and they ask 'wanna be friends?' I smile 'sure.'  Snowhunter nips me and runs off with skysong following. I chase them both.
