"Time is so cruel, I hate us
Seeing each other for once is now hard between us"Being a doctor had its ups and downs.
It was great to help people, to give them hope and -no matter how humble Jungkook was,- it was a huge happiness to hear them thank him after a successful operation and hear them call him their 'saviour'.But it certainly wasn't a full of sunshine job. And he hated more than anything, when he had to tell the patients that it was the end of their beautiful or tragically short life. When all he could do was shake his head at the patient's family, when all he could do was watch as people died in accidents and he couldn't even feel guilty. Because it was a part of his job and he had to live with it. But the worst part was when he had to face their soulmates. The parents were nothing compared to the people who had just lost their other half, especially those extreme cases when later on they came back -just to announce them dead; the cause being suicide.
Jungkook loved his job nonetheless and it payed him well enough for him to have a cozy flat and a cute white fluff off cuteness, by the name of Miri; his dog. But there was still something that was missing from his life. A soulmate.
Every person had a tattoo on their wrist, which was either a word or a complete sentence. It was the first thing that your soulmate would say to you and every person was looking forward to hearing it from them. Having a soulmate was maybe the only thing that everyone wanted equally. A soulmate gifts you unconditional love, support and they have a soothing and calming aura. Who wouldn't want that? Only a mad man.
And it looks like Jungkook was indeed mad, because the reason why he chose his career and why he never wished to meet his soulmate, were those seven words, written with black ink on his delicate wrist.
Don't worry, I'll watch you from above.

It was just an ordinary day for Jungkook, with no important operations or waiting to be done paperwork piles, almost overdue the deadline on his desk. It wasn't an extremely busy day either, in fact probably the calmest since he started working in the hospital. Some of his colleagues even called it as 'calm before storm' but Jungkook was strongly hoping that it's just an easy day. But oh, how wrong he was...
<Jungkook's POV>
"Get a doctor quickly!" Came a panicking voice of a nurse from outside my office. "And get an operating room ready! The kid will die if we don't do anything!" I rushed outside, not wasting any second. Many people were surrounding a stretching bed, rushing to one of the operating rooms. The case did look pretty serious as the best nurses and assistants all panicked around the patient.
"Dr Jeon! I'm so relieved that you came, there's a patient who needs urgent operation! His fatal organs are almost destroyed and he's unconscious on the verge of dying. He's lost a lot of blood too and we don't have much of his blood type." The head nurse came in front of me, almost screeching in panic and that was when I could take a proper look on the patient and once I saw him -as bad as it sounds,- I wanted to save him more than anyone ever. He was breathtakingly gorgeous, even with all the bruises covering his skin, which was sickeningly white, except the blue and purple spots. He was bloodied everywhere, but that didn't change that he was the most beautiful boy I've ever laid my eyes on. However, that wasn't the only reason why I was unexplainably drawn towards this broken beauty, but rather an inner pull that made me want to hold him close and cuddle him everyday.
"The operation room is ready, let's hurry Dr Jeon" HyenJong, my operation assistant rushed to my side. I nodded quickly and ran to said room, the nurses and the other doctors trailing behind me.
