After a long, sightless travel, they pulled him out of the vehicle and brought him in somewhere. They kept moving until they stopped for a second. All that Eien-Rei heard was a puff of smoke and some squeaky metal as they continued onward. The steps he heard sounded like concrete, if the cold butt wasn't any indication on where he was going.
He then felt the grip on his arms loosen, as the blindfold was taken off. The scene was dimly lit by old, faulty bulbs, but it was enough to where he could make out most of the area. Cracks also littered the area, left perfect for criminals and prisoners.
Once they had gone, Eien-Rei's first instinct was to look for an escape out of these stone walls.
To his dismay however, he found that the walls were just that, and the only part that even had a chance of moving was the door.
So, he got up and pushed the door with his shoulders as hard as possible, but it wouldn't budge. He sighed and sat in the far corner.
"Great job Eien-Rei.... you got caught in your first three days....."
He didn't know what to do at this point, so he thought of what he'd do in these dark places in life.
"I wish i could draw... that always calms me down....."
Luckily, it wasn't hard to locate some sharp pieces of stone strewned about.
"Now if my hands weren't tied behind my back...." He sighed.
He looked at the cracks and imagined them looking like all sorts of things. Trees, crossbows, the sky, and all the other things he liked.
While he imagined them, he thought on how to escape. He couldn't fail already. This concrete world wasn't the gray Chronos had referred to.
He then decided to imagine Chronos on the wall, since he would help in odd ways.
"Have I failed already, Chronos...?"
He didn't receive an answer, rather, a sound, a low pitched clang on the ground behind him.
He turned and looked at what made that sound. It blended in a bit, but there was a lone, steel bolt in the middle of the room.
"What the......?"
It was very random, a bolt falling to the ground.
"what do I with this.....?"
He wondered if this is some sort of hint. After all, it didn't seem to have been screwed into anything on the walls or ceiling.
He examines the door again, closer this time. On further inspection, there are no hinges to the door. Instead, on the right edge, he saw a long, thin slit.
He grabbed the bolt and checked if he could shove it in the slit. It was almost small enough to fit through, but even if he had been able to, he felt it wouldn't do much.
He hummed to himself and analyzed what a bolt could do. He checked every square inch of the cell. Though it proved no help to him.
"You wouldn't have appeared if you didn't help something..... right?"
The bolt stayed silent, though he could somehow feel the bolt trying desperately to get him to think.
He sat down, breathed a few times, calmed himself, and then thought. He then focused on the door and how a bolt would be used on it.
While he was deep in his mind, a sliding sound echoed and broke Eien-Rei from his concentration. He snapped toward the direction of the intrusion. There was now a gap through the lower section of the door.
