I had a secret; a secret that would remain mine until I told Harvey later. For now though, I would let him sleep. He looked so peaceful with his lips curled into a smile, no idea of what lay ahead.

As he began to stir, I closed my eyes incase he caught me watching him sleep. I listened as Harvey grunted, yawned and rolled over to face me, his arm falling across my waist. Now it was his turn to watch me sleep.

"Good morning." I said, feigning a yawn as if I too had just woken up.

Flashing me a smile, he returned the greeting. "Good morning Beautiful." My eyes lit up at the last part. I couldn't help it.

After knowing Harvey for as long as I had, I pretty much had all his expressions catalogued in my memory, but the one I was looking at at that moment I had never seen before. It was a sort of a cross between excited, nervous and playful but it still made me smile.

All it took for me to fully grasp the meaning behind that look was for Harvey to move his hand from my waist and gradually move it it lower and lower down my back, sending
a shiver coursing through my entire body.

"Not now Mister!" I snapped, removing his hand from my back and resisting the urge to let him continue. " I have quite the day planned for us, and it starts with coffee."

Leaning over to give Harvey a kiss, I felt his hand slide back into position on my waist as he pulled me closer. The kiss was so passionate that for a moment I forgot everything. It was like a dream. Of course he had kissed me like that before, yet each time felt like the first.

Moments later, I realised I needed to get my plan back on track. Harvey however didn't care. He resisted as I tried to leave. I couldn't blame him though; if I could, I would have stayed in that moment forever.

"Come on, come back to bed." He pleaded, trying to coax me into staying with him.

"No!" I may have sounded a little too forceful, but I had no choice. "I have put a lot of effort into planning today. It's not often that we both have a day off, let alone at the same time. The least you could do is go along with it." I made my point. Giving him a quick peck on the cheek, I rummaged around on the floor next to the bed and grabbed the first piece of clothing I could find. It was Harvey's shirt. I tugged at the sleeves, extending them fully, before wrapping it around myself.

As I headed to the kitchen and closed the bedroom door behind me, I could hear Harvey turning the shower on. My heart was beating so fast and my breathing was heavy. Everything had to work out today; I needed it to. So much rested upon Harvey's reaction.

"Hey. Which one's mine?" Harvey asked matter of factly. Having been deep in thought, I hadn't even heard the shower switch off. "Earth to Donna!" He joked, now making his way towards me in nothing but a towel; teasing me and trying once again to get me back into the bedroom. I would have been happy to oblige on any other day, but not today.

"That one." I stated blankly, gesturing towards the mug furthest from me. Watching as he sipped his coffee, I contemplated just how exactly I was going to broach the subject in a casual way.

Harvey must have noticed that I was somewhat distracted. "Donna, is everything okay?" He asked softly, placing his coffee on the side and interlocking his fingers with mine.

   I didn't speak.

He kept tugging on my hand and trying to caress it with his thumb, knowing how much I loved it when he did that. "You know you can talk to me, so talk to me!" He tried again, but I couldn't. I had my plan and I was sticking to it.
