The warm breath from his mouth tickles my neck. He leans in and whispers the words of serenity. Serenity... It's been so long. But I only wish he said "I love you"
I watch the being as he moves back to my bed. There's so many questions I'd like to ask him, but I can't force myself to speak. He stands next to my bed, staring at the side table. Suddenly he looks up at me, asking permission.
"It's yours," I nod, "it always belonged to you, don't ask me if you can take it."
His hands fold delicately around the hat, and he brings it to his head. It rests there for a moment and I smile. The white hat is finally back where it belongs. On the head of Palette Roller.
He looks at me again. This time I don't know what he wants. "Palette are you going to say anything?"
"I'm scared of saying the wrong thing," he admits. "I'm back with you for some reason, and I'm afraid."
"You won't say anything wrong Palette. Remember what I told you?" I say.
"You've told me a lot of things," Palette laughs.
"Right haha," I reply. "I'll just say it again."
He nods.
"I love you," I tell him sincerely. "I don't care what you say, as I could never hate you."
"Goth please come down."
I step off my chair, walking toward Palette. He vanishes.
"Huh?"
"Behind you," Palette says coolly. I whirl around and see him standing on my chair. "Don't worry about it. I think this is just part of my new life. Teleportation." He casually pulls down my noose and unties the knot.
"Why are you still here anyways?" I ask, sitting down on my bed.
"I'm not quite sure, but I know I have a reason to be stuck here. Now we have a lot of catching up to do." Palette grins and walks over to me.
