*Skip to part II if you would like to jump right into the actual story with Robin!
Writing poetry has made Arlie a better-spirited person for countless reasons. One, being the unforgettable story that she's about to share with you on how she met her lover, Robin Gibb in Wolverhampton, England.
"Well I'd have to say, Ms. Arlie Lennon, your composition is far beyond your years." Said my intelligent grammar teacher, Mr. Lance E. Smith enthusiastically, "Everyone will already tell by your very first sentence, you've got a flair for writing." He then handed me the final draft of my original poem that was chosen by the National Poetry Society of America to be read at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton, England by none other than me.
When I started writing, I wanted nothing from it. I simply felt the need to just spill my ideas on a piece of paper like an overturned drink, covering everything. None of my family had ever connected with writing as much as me. Except for my grand aunt or my great grandmother's sister, Margaret Gray. She was in fact a poet that had successfully published her collected works.
Every time I write, I feel connected with her. Every poem is like having tea with her. She inspired me to pick up a pencil and write my heart out. That's all I wanted to do. I was never looking for love, money, or attention. I didn't need a man to keep me satisfied. I was too engrossed in my education and what I wanted to do with my future. Even two years before my high school graduation, I was struggling to find the best college and career choice. I knew writing would pertain to it. Little did I know, the opportunity that Mr. Smith gave me would not only win myself a scholarship to the most advanced writing school in England, but it would also introduce me to famous BeeGee Robin Gibb, the love of my life that is beyond pencil and paper.
