From a Duo to a Trio ( Auslly pregnancy)

It was 11:00 pm and things were slowing down.
It took forever, and their baby did not want to come out.

She laid on the hospital bed talking to everyone Assuring the baby was not here yet

" okay grandma.. I'll let you know.." she said hanging up she sighed

" I wish she decide if she wants to come already" he said

She looked at him " you're telling me.. stubborn.. she gets it from you" she poked her stomach

" I'm gonna miss it" she said

" miss what?" He asked

" being pregnant." She said " I liked it.. despite everything bad.. it's such a great thing.. feeling her move.. talking to her.."

" just think now you'll actually feel her and talk to her and she'll talk back!" He said

She chuckled a bit

The monitors beeped

" I'm a few hours.. or when ever she decides to grace us with her presence we'll have a baby" he said

" yea.. weird.. weren't we just Kids?" She asked

" yea.. well I like to think I'm still a kid" he said

She laughed she held out her hand that didn't have ivs

He took it and kissed it " you're a lot calmer than I thought you'd be.."

" it's not the movies.. I mean it hurt a lot.." she said

" there were tears, but you didn't scream" he said " let's not have another kid so soon after this.. because I hate seeing you in pain"

" the real pain is about to begin" she smiled

It was 3 am and she had fallen asleep he stayed awake with his hand still intertwined in hers

He kissed her little warm fingers

" I love you so much.." he whispered into her ear " don't scare me like that again"

At 4 am

She woke up and noticed him still holding her hand sleeping

" hey.." she said

" hmm?" He woke up " what?"

She brushed his hair away " I know you're tired.."

" no no it's okay.." he said

" I'm scared.." she said softly closing her eyes " I'm so scared.."

" you're doing so good.. don't be afraid.." he said

" I can't help it.. I️ just want her to be okay.. I don't care what happens to me.. well maybe a little" she said

" don't say that.. don't ever.. I care what happens to you.. and I want you both to be okay.. I need you.. you're not leaving me.... got it? So don't even think about it.." he said sternly

She nodded " just the fear"

He kissed her forehead " .. think of it like getting over your stage fright.. it was scary but you did it"

She nodded

" that time we bunjee jumped together when we were like 16? For that dumb magazine.. and when on our honey moon and you didn't want to jump off that little cliff into the water? But you did it and you wouldn't shut up about it.." he smiled

She smiled and nodded

" giving birth piece of cake right?" He asked " yea it's gonna hurt.. but you got my hand to squeeze.. and you can scream all you want"
