Chapter 2

Faster than was thought possible, Emrys was thrown into the midst of the battle on the ground. The barren tundra of the plant was a sharp contrast to the Lystuis Mist that was still able to be seen from above the atmosphere.

The blaster in his hand, one of the standard Pyrokyne Armada issues, shook along with his pale hands.

What had he gotten himself into? He was no warrior. He was no soldier.

"Took ya Long enough!"

Emrys looked to his left, seeing a man fighting alongside the Princess, Sampo, and Kahsta.

No, not a man. A fierce and warring male.

"Shut it, Bjarne!" Meike shouted as she fired another shot aimed at the incoming army.

"Where's Saolas? Saerys?" The male, Bjarne, asked as he also fired at the army.

"Saolas is fighting his way to his brother."

"Hm."

"What?"

Bjarne shook his head, his hair slowly slipping from the bun he had his hair styled in.

Meike shouted an untranslatable string of sounds, words maybe. None of the entourage knew what was said. She just threw the depleted blaster aside and grabbed the sword on her side. The silvery metal shining against the faint sunlight on the battlefield.

"Princess, wait!"

Kahsta's words fell on deaf ears as Meike charged into the middle of the fighting. Striking the invaders down, leaving nearly none for the Prafg soldiers on the immediate area.

The female grunted before she charged as well. Boosting the morale of the Prafgs around them. More Pyrokyne followed the footsteps. Determined to protect their allies.

Emrys followed as well. Not wanting to be left behind and his father being told that they were slowed down by his reluctance to go into battle when he arrived.

Bjarne looked to the Vorat and sneered.

"What's he doing here, Mu Strasta?"

"Explain later!" Both Meike and Sampo shouted over the sounds of the battle.

"Mu Strasta was supposed to be the one to answer," The black haired male snipped, slicing the head off of the nearest invader.
