<???>

I walked down the small alleyway slightly kicking trash and other various objects that lied on the concrete, the old rundown building's being my only source of light, any light that was left anyway.

That boy... he seemed oblivious to the transformation his friend was going through, but I doubt it will remain unknown for long.

I continue down the street reaching the seemingly unused building, unlocking the door. There I find my father standing above a table, parts and pieces scattered.

I step forward as his head slightly turns noticing my presence. "Ah...boy , you have returned. Do you have any useful information for me." He demands, a slightly different tone then normal.

"I only have updates on the boy's conditions, nothing more." I say, leaving out the albino entirely. "Well, go on."

"Uh- yes, of course. He collapsed this afternoon having a unnatural fever of sorts." I say trying my best to speak clearly.

"Mhm, is he dead?" He questions slightly glancing upward. I slightly rub my pale hands together looking downward. "Um, not exactly..."

He gives a exasperated sigh standing from the table and walking over to me. He places a hand on my shoulder looking at my eyes. "Listen Garroth, I need you to do something for me and you'll do it."

The first time he said my name in a long time. "Of course sir, but what-" He shushes me, motioning for me to follow him to the next room. I do so staying silent as he opens a door revealing two outfits.

"Garroth, do remember what I told you about your family?" I look down sighing and slightly nodding my head. "I was left to die by my parents. You found me and gave me... a purpose."

"And what is your purpose." I stand thinking for a second about to awnser before getting interrupted again. "Your purpose Garroth, is to help me succeed. That's why I gave you your powers."

I stare in confusion as he motions to the two outfits hanging from the rack. The first was a blue polo shirt and jeans."This will be your clothing for when you attend school. You will watch over that boy,and make sure he doesn't cause any suspicion."

He then points to a blue mask and somewhat of a blue leather suit with black  highlights . He smiles at what I understand to be his creation. "This is the suit you will use for your missions."

"Missions? What do you mean?" He looks towards me once again. "I need to rebuild the machine that those boys broke, for that I need the pieces. The only way to do that, is for you to gather them for me."

"Isn't there a better way to do this? Couldn't we ask?" I shrug. "Garroth, they won't let you take things if you ask ,and I don't have the power to get them myself."

"So you need me to take them for you. I... understand. I am ready when you are sir." He smiles. "Good. You will attend your first day tomorrow and retrieve the first item this weekend, if you fail you will be punished. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. Now fix yourself a meal then go to bed. Oh and I also got this so we can stay in contact." He hands me a blue smartphone and shoos me to the next room.

^v^

I sigh looking at the many other teens crowding the area. Each of them in a particular spot eating food served by old women. I have yet to spot the boy in question, but I have seen one of his idiot friends.

The blue haired one, who I had for all of my morning classes, wouldn't leave me alone, but I figured he would eventually draw in his other friends meaning less work for me.

"Hey you know what I just realized!"

"That your an idiot."

"Nooo. I don't know your name yet!"

"You just realized this now."

"Yea well- oh hey guys!" The two boys sat at the table, their smiles wide before glancing at me. "Hey Dante, who's this?"

"This is the new guy in our grade, but he won't tell me his name." The brown haired held his hand out to me ,staring me in the eye.

"Hiya, I'm Laurence." I shake his hand and he nudges the albino in the shoulder. "Ow fine! I'm Travis...

I think for a moment looking at my surroundings, no one else was around, it should be safe. "Garroth."

"Huh? What is that?"

"My name. It's Garroth."

'Idiot's.'

Laurence smiles sitting at the table as Travis follows suit, seeming wary of me. I should calm his suspicion, but how?

"Hey Garroth?" I look up slightly towards the voice. "Yes?"

"Is this your first time in Phoenix Drop?"

"Uh duh Travis! I've never seen him here before!"

"That doesn't mean he lived here Dante!" Laurence shouts turning from Dante to me. "Sorry, he's the idiot."

A chuckle comes from my mouth startling me. That's never happened before...

"You good Garroth?" Travis asks dismissing Laurence and Dante's argument about Dante's idiocy

"U-uh yes, I-I'm fine." The bell rings dismissing the students for the day.

I stand up gathering my things and trash. I begin to depart but am stopped by Laurence calling my name. "Hey! We should hang out sometime! "

I only stare at the three before nodding my head and walking outside. My phone rings and I answer it, knowing who it was.

"Garroth, there has been a change of plans..."
