I could hear my dad and Rita coming in laughing I thought to myself there must be some explanation for all of this so as I was about to go down the stairs my dad actually called me I'm guessing he has something to tell me because his voice did sound a bit high pitched as if he was exited when my dads voice is deep so that funny.
" Yeah daddy?" I said in a cute voice.
" How's my baby girl,I have something to tell you" He said smiling.
" And what may that be?" I asked.
" Well .." He said and Rita butted in.
" Were having a baby" She squealed.
" What?" I said in an unimpressed voice.
" Were having a baby" She said again.
I shook my head disgusted a baby a baby? Like really he's just known this girl they haven't even been together for that long okay she's alright and nice but a baby along her too there's no space for an baby.
" Where's the space for all of this" I asked rudely. " This? It's a baby for starters and well move be a big family" He suggested but yet raised his voice a bit higher.
" Move? And she isn't family and nor is this baby further more who is my family" I asked now with tears in my eyes.
He looked at me I don't know if he knew and I didn't know whether he wanted me to know but it's my life it's about time I actually knew who my family was my other half I just want to know where I'm from,there was silent's for a while but then he started to rant on about my rudeness and my manners I had now had enough and ran up to my room which I never do,me and my dad never argue but now fury was running through me and I know hated my dad it's like now it's me over Rita,when I got to my room I slammed my door and locked it I got out my big adidas bag and loaded night clothes and underwear and three pairs of clothes then I got my charger and brush and my other phone. I opened my window and could feel the breeze hit my face it was warm outside as it's coming up to summer now well it is summer in other words but still I put on my big jacket because it's late and I'm going on a big journey now I threw my bag out the window and jumped down after causing a big fall but I'm still alive,I picked up my bag and ran out my garden hoping my dad wouldn't hear,now the thing for me to do now is find out where it is I'm actually going.
I walked along towards the cab station knowing I had money on me but the question was where was I going but in the end I said my nan's address she lives a bit far but she's always told me that she loves me although how much her and my dad don't really see eye to eye,I put in my headphones on low and stayed awake throughout the journey,When I realized I was now hitting kingston area I stayed wide awake I thanked the driver for dropping me and he made me pay half the price because he said he's got little girls and he wouldn't want them to be out this late I thanked him once more and then as we came outside my nan's drive way I think he may have wanted the other half of my money because she lives in a big house and she's wealthy with a lot of money but my dad Mr grumpy says he doesn't want any of her money and he'll work for his own living.
I walked up to the gate and pressed the buzzer to hear her voice on the other end.
" Who is it,do you know what the time is ?" She said in Patois
" Nanny it's me Perez" I said.
" Perez oh lard what you doing out at this time?" She said Buzzing me in.
The little gate opened and I made my way into the drive way running towards the figure I could see opposite me,now tears were running because I haven't seen my nan in ages and I didn't realize how much I've missed her until now,When I ran into her arms I could tell she was happy to see me but I knew she wanted answers to.
" Nan I'm so sorry but I just couldn't stay there tonight" I said crying.
She looked at me worried because me and my dad never argue about anything.
" Does he know your here?" She asked.
I shook my head and then she went and got the phone inside leading me in too,I walked into the sitting room to see the Tv was off so I turned it on and put it on universal whilst my nan spoke to my dad they were on the phone for ages arguing I could hear her shouting at him calling him many names,I thought to myself look what I've caused why couldn't I just be quiet and be happy for my dad and Rita.
My nan past me the phone half way through there argument and I could hear my dad on the other side angry.
" When did I say you could leave and see my mum" he asked.
" Dad,sorry but it seems as if I'm not wanted anymore " I said.
" When have I ever said I've never wanted you?" He asked.
" You don't have to" I said.
" Come on it's always been us no matter what" He said.
" And it's going to be us and your family" I said coldly.
" Come on. Perez you'll have a baby brother or sister" He said.
" Are you being for real a half brother or sister seriously dad I need to know who I am now sorry Who am I?" I shouted.
" I can't tell you" He said.
" You can't tell me? Are you being for real,you can't tell me?" I shouted,this time hanging up. My nan came to me and hugged me trying to comfort me.
" I don't want to go back there,Nan do you know who my mum is?" I asked.
She looked at me as if she was hiding something back from me,who is my mum? There hiding from me.
