A Victim's Sonnet

You lured me in like I was prey,

And held me waiting in your lair,

I was willing, it wasn't fair,

Who knows how you kept me at bay.

Despite it all, still here I lay,

Silent, patient but do I dare,

Give in to your devil's snare,

I'm done with you, it's my last day.

I turn and run before I know,

I'm out, I'm free and it's just me,

No more love, no more cupids bow,

But it's quite lonely now I see,

So once more I let myself go,

I fall down a trap... it never ends

A/N this was part of a sonnet competition with the topic of love that I was having with a friend,I chose to take it a bit darker route and and quite proud of this one ^-^
