"If you'll be my boat, I'll be your sea,"

He hummed the tune to himself, walking casually down the worn sidewalk full of sandy footprints. Hearing his feet tapping against the concrete, he let his voice ring out to the beat.

"A depth of pure blue just to probe curiosity."

A sigh escaped his lips. The building he'd come to seemed worn down and old. He didn't favor the idea of what the rooms could look like inside, but he'll have to accept it. Besides, it didn't matter where he stayed. It wasn't like he was going to spend most of the rest of his life there. Not when there was so much to see.

He pushed through the front doors.

"Good afternoon sir. How may I help you?"

His mouth stretched slightly to form a friendly grin. He dipped his head as he walked closer to the front desk.

"Afternoon. I was wondering if there are any rooms open for rent?"

The lady hesitated for a moment, before twisting in her rolling chair and sliding over to a small computer to her right. Her fingers flew across the keys, causing a crescendo of sudden clicking through the silent lobby. Until finally the noise ceased, and she looked up with a smile.

"Yes. Yes, there is one." Her eyes danced across the screen for another moment. "I'll just need a name, and a $30 flat fee. Then you'll just have to pay $15 every month."

Her hands went up to the perfectly brushed blond locks held within a tight ponytail, and adjusted the grip of the rubberband. Her eyes were trained on him, as she awaited a reply.

"Tord. my name is Tord." He said, sliding the bag over his torso off and digging through it's contents as he stated his last name as well. He pulled out a $20 bill and another ten, then held it out to her from over the desk, where she took it gratefully. She replaced the money in his hand with a key hanging off of a little chain.

"Okay, Tord, you're apartment number five. It's just down the hall to your left. The last door."

The woman's perfectly white teeth flashed as she showed him a chipper smile.

"Enjoy."

Tord muttered a small thanks, before shifting the strap of his luggage back over his shoulder and walking towards his new destination. At the end of the hall, he was able to see the overlapping waves crashing onto the sandy beach below from the opening. He could see the clouds drifting in one direction, and the sun starting to disappear under the horizon, and leaned on the railing to get as closer of a view as he possibly could.

"How nice." He said, hesitantly moving away to get himself settled into the place he would now call home.

The chilly ocean breeze sent shivers down Tord's neck, and he had the sudden regret of not bringing his coat when he left.

Though he might've felt a sense of discomfort from the cold, he didn't mind it much, seeing as he was too distracted by the setting before him. It made him feel at peace. The waves flowering rhythmically forwards, and rolling back only to repeat their movements satisfied Tord. It was a good thing, too. he really needed a good relaxation from all of his stresses, and stretched his arms upward as his feet moved on their own.

They took him across the sand at a calming pace, letting him soak in the fresh air and cooling breeze comfortably. He was able to follow each lap of water, and watch each bird soar overhead freely. He was able to see the sun sink even further through the distance, and cause an array of colors to fly across the sky.
