Maan looked around confused. He was dreaming. He got up and took a cold shower, and then, went to gym. He was really ashamed of himself. He was not a teenage, he was a grown up. Yet he was having such dreams about a girl 8 year younger than him. It was clear to him that if he stayed around her, then he might end up doing something for which he will never be able to forgive himself.

Until a bud blossom into a flower, it was wrong to pluck it. He would protect Geet, even from himself. This time he will stay away from her. He started doing push ups.

....................................2 Weeks later...........................................................................

Geet was sitting in her room with a book in hand and staring at same page for last 15 minutes. She sighed and closed the book. "What's wrong?'' she thought. Maan has been avoiding her these days. That was the bitter truth. Only yesterday, she went to ask for his help solving a numerical. He was solving it, so she started pacing the room, her anklet producing small chan chan sound. He suddenly jerked up from sofa like he had been electrocuted. He said he remembered something important and asked her to ask Mama for help. Then, he went out and stayed out all day.

She was hurt by his attitude. He did not even reply to her calls. She did not know what to do? Was he having second thoughts about this engagement? She couldn't clearly remember what happened at the party that day but she was sure, she hadn't embarrassed him.

I should ask him what is wrong. She checked time, it was 11:00 p.m. she opened her room door a bit, so she would hear him come upstairs and waited for him.

About half an hour later, she heard Maan coming up and then, going to the room. She quickly went to mirror and checked her appearance. She brushed her hairs and rearranged her dupatta, and then she went to his room and knocked.

He opened the door and looked surprised to see her. "Is everything okay?'' he asked. "Can i come in?'' Geet replied." I need to talk about something important''.

Maan let her in but left the door open.

Geet looked at him. He looked tired and edgy. He didn't look at her and instead he was looking outside the window.

"So, what you want to say?'' Maan asked. "Why won't you look at me, Maan?'' Geet said." You have been ignoring me and i want to know why?''. "Did i do something or you are having second thoughts about our engagement?''

Maan turned around, but still didn't look at her, and said," what rubbish, why would i be having second thoughts? And i am not ignoring you, i am just too busy.''

"You are lying; i know you are avoiding me. You don't even look at me anymore.'' she could feel her eyes welling up with tears. She tried to stop them but her tears rolled over cheeks. She sobbed and tried to run out of his room. He grabbed her arm and tried to stop her. Geet tried to free her arm but he was too powerful.

Geet, listen to me. You are wrong; i don't want our engagement to break. I am not lying about it. Okay.

Geet still tried to free herself but maan won't allow it. At the end, she stopped trying to free herself and put her head on his chest and cried all over him. He let her cry, then, gave her a tissue paper.

Geet feeling stupid and embarrassed at crying in front of him again used the tissue paper to wipe her tears away.

Maan was really frustrated. He didn't know what to do? He did not want to admit that how much control she had over him. Yet, he could not see her sad. He thought quietly. What to do? How to ask her to stay away?

''I told you geet that i will be really busy and i won't have time for you. In fact, i will start touring the factories soon and i will not be homes for weeks. So, you are going to cry every time?'' he asked gently
