Anne was like a goddess. She always knew what to say and what not to say. She hated violence and always tried to end it.She hated love but she fell in love anyway. She loved the guy that would just sit there and read his book. She loved JD. She saw good in him, even when others didn't.
Anne always knew that Kurt and Ram were trouble. They'd always get people worked up. Which happened a lot to JD. Especially in their English class.
"So, you have to write a play. It has to be at least 47 lines and 10 characters. I will be choosing the partners." Mrs. Dee explained.
"Heather Chandler with Heather Duke. Heather McNamara with Veronica Sawyer. Ram Sweeny and Kurt Kelly. Jason Dean and Anne Smith." She announced.
"Awe, the couple got partnered up!" Ram teased.
"Ram, how about you mind your own business." JD responded.
"Just ignore them, JD," Anne said to JD.
"They just want to piss you off."At lunch, Anne sat at her usual table but with nobody to talk to. She literally had no friends. Well, the Heathers liked her but she didn't like them.
The 3 boys were at each other's throats again.
"At least we're not gay!" Ram yelled.
"Yeah! And at least we could actually get with someone!" Kurt joined in.
"At least I'm not a P.I.A." JD replied.
"Oh that's it!" Kurt said before trying to punch JD in the face.
"Holy cow!" Some students screamed.
"Um, excuse me?" Anne yelled towards the boys.
"What is this?" Anne asked.
"It's called a fight, sweetheart. Use your brain!" Ram said.
"Well why are you fighting?" Anne asked.
"Because someone doesn't know how to keep their mouth shut." Kurt said.
"Seriously! That is literally the stupidest thing ever! You're seniors! You have better things to do. Plus, you're already past the fighting phase. Just let it go!" She yelled.
"She's right." Ram said.
"Wow! Thank you so much!" JD said.
"No problem!" Anne said.
"Is there any way I could repay you, Anne?" JD asked.
"Your thank you was enough." Anne said.
"How about I take you out. Do you like slushies?" JD offered.
"Yeah!" Anne said.
"Okay, how about we meet up at 7-11 at 6 tonight?" He asked.
"Oh, sure!" She said.
After that day, the two became very close. They helped each other through their problems.
Anne fell deeper in love. JD had started falling in love with her. Many people were shocked at how JD changed.
After a month of hanging out, JD finally got the courage to ask her out. And she said yes.
But one day he screwed up really badly.
"Grow up, Heather. Bulimia is so '87!" Anne heard Heather Chandler say as she walked into the bathroom.
"Anne, is it?" Heather C asked.
"Yes." Anne replied.
"Just wanted to tell you, you really are ruining everyone's senior year." Chandler said.
"How?" Anne asked.
"By trying to end violence!" Heather Duke said.
"I don't get it. Getting rid of violence is the only way to have peace. Unless you actually enjoy seeing innocent people get beat up." Anne said.
"Well of course we do! JD deserved to get beat up!" Heather McNamara chimed in.
"Honestly, how'd you feel-"
"Enough! You stay away from all the drama. Cause we can make your senior year a living hell." Chandler threatened.
Anne had been thinking about that moment the whole day. And it worried everyone.
"You okay?" JD asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." Anne replied.
"You sure?" He asked again.
"Yeah, I'm just a bit shaken up." Anne said.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked.
"Maybe later if you take me to get a slushy!" Anne said with a smile.
"If that's what gets you smiling." JD said.
So after school they went to 7-11.
"So what happened?" JD asked.
"The Heathers want me to stop ending fights." Anne explained.
"That's just messed up!" JD said walking out of the store with her.
"Do you want to do something about it?" JD asked.
"Like what?" Anne asked.
"We could kill them." He said.
"Are you crazy! I get they're terrible but that would be going too far." Anne explained.
"Perfect! We're doing it!" JD said now standing up.
"We can't do that!" Anne said running over to him.
"Please JD it's not worth it!" Anne yelled.
"Come on, I'll take you home." JD started his motorcycle.
Anne felt like crying. This was why she didn't like sharing her thoughts: people went too far. She held on very tight to her boyfriend and put her chin on his shoulder.
"Jason." Anne said into his ear. That was the first time she ever said his first name.
"Yes, Anne?" He replied.
"Please don't kill them." She pleaded.
"I'm sorry Anne." He replied.
She let a few tears come out. This is all my fault. She thought. Why did I have to make such a big deal out of it!
When they arrived at Anne's house, she did her best to ignore JD. She walked into the house and into her room.
"Honey, you okay?" Her dad asked.
"Mr. Smith." JD called out.
"Who might you be?" Her dad asked.
"My name is JD. I'm Anne's boyfriend." JD explained.
"Well it doesn't look like you've been a very good one. She's crying!" He said.
"Is it alright if I go see her, sir?" JD asked.
"Of course. Her room is upstairs and the second door on the left." Mr Smith said.
When JD arrived in her room, she was crying into a pillow.
"Anne, are you okay?" JD asked.
"Does it look like I'm okay!" Anne yelled.
"Sorry, bad question. Look, if you really don't want me to do it, then I won't." He said.
"How do I know you won't though?" Anne asked.
"You just have to trust me." He said.
Anne gave him a huge hug, which he gladly returned.
"I promise I won't kill them, buttercup." JD said.
