As Wolfe continued to howl, Jaune walked up to him and said, "I know how you feel. I loved her too", as he wrapped an arm around him. Ruby and the others left them alone. Two hours later, Ruby decided to go check on them. She found Jaune and Wolfe sparring together in the woods, smiling. Jaune was disarmed. "Alright, I'm done", said Jaune as Wolfe helped him up, exhausted.

 "Not bad, Jaune. Phyrra taught you well", Wolfe complimented. As they were walking back, Ruby stopped in front of Wolfe, her scythe ready. 

"Ruby, what are doing?¨, asked Jaune. "I want to spar with Wolfe", Ruby replied, "Is there a problem with that?" Wolfe found this humoring, so he drew his sword. "I will not hold back, Ms. Ruby", Wolfe said, playfully. "I would be insulted if you did, Mr. Wolfe", Ruby said in an also playful tone. Ruby attacked first. She knew she would win; after all, she had her baby Crescent Rose at her side. As she brought her scythe down, she sped up and used a blast from her sniper to bring it down even faster. As the dust cleared, Ruby realized that Wolfe was no longer there. "Fast", she heard from behind her, "But not fast enough", he said mockingly. Ruby gritted her teeth and fired a shot at him, only to have it deflected. 

Wolfe changed his katana into his Naginata and charged Ruby. Ruby charged, scythe ready. They jumped into the air and sliced each other. They landed on opposite ends of each other. Ruby's' aura went down to the yellow line, but Wolfe was fine. Not a single scratch on him. Ruby was reminded of how weak she had been at Beacon, as she stood and watched as two of her friends died that day. She felt helpless, weak.

"Dammit," she said through gritted teeth, "Dammit! How?! How am I this powerless? How can I be so weak?", she yelled. Her eyes began to glow white. Wolfe didn't know what this power was, but he knew it wasn't good. He dropped his weapon and ran up to Ruby and hugged her. Ruby was surprised by this. "Ruby", Wolfe's' voice was soothing, "Why did you become a Huntress? To protect your friends, right?" "Yes, but I failed them." "No, you didn't. Phyrra gave her life to save Beacon and her friends. Do not disgrace her memory by saying you failed her. She would be sad to hear you say that." Ruby looked up and saw Phyrra radiated through him. She cried into his shoulder, letting herself be vulnerable for the first time. 

Jaune was surprised to see Ruby crying. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Ruby. Rin and Nora joined in and cried for their lost teammate. "I swear", Ruby said, crying, "I'm going to find Cinder. I'm going to find her. And when I do, I'm going to make her pay. I'm going to kill her. I swear it, I"m gonna kill her! I swear to God, I'm going to avenge Phyrra and Penny. I swear on their graves! 

Ruby continued to cry, as did everyone. They continued to cry throughout the night. Qrow hid behind a tree and brought out his flask and held it to the moon. "Oz, where are you? I could sure use your guidance right about now." With that he drank from the flask, draining it.
