He saw the tears in her eyes, as the chaos all around them escalated, he knew it was killing her to see him like this but there was no other choice, there was no other options left. The demon inside him growled in warning, but at the same time it knew. It knew how he felt about the girl, as well as how much the girl loved him, but it wasn't enough. Her love was bright in the darkness but there was nothing he could do, it was to save her to save them all. "Please," she whispered, her blue eyes shining with unshed tears, tears he knew she would never let fall. "Please, give him back, I need him more than you do. Please" her voice was hoarse as if screaming for hours but he knew that was not the reason, it was all the smoke she inhaled when the building was in flames and about to collapse, when he made the deal that would save and destroy her. She always knew about the demon, the soul he shares, even before he told her. When he asked her how she just smiled, "I know you, the real you," she answered with a kiss on the cheek and walked away. No other explanation needed, well in his case he wasn't going to get another answer. He felt stronger, taller and invincible, but when the building they were in suddenly explored and they were trapped, along with the people they had rescued, he was powerless until that was when the demon said he could save them all, but as always there was a price that needed to be paid. People were screaming all around them, smoke was in the area and miles away the sounds of bombs going off could be heard, along with the screams of death and the howls of the night. But there they were, standing in front of one another chaos all around them but they did not pay attention, her eyes were on him, as were his. His fireball, the one person who drove him completely wild yet never could hate, she was the light in the darkness, his savior and most importantly his light. She did not understand why he did what he did, she never would.
