"Hi! I'm Cameron, you must be Avery" I hear a welcoming voice say.
"Yeah that's me" I smile, as I walk further into the dorm room.
I look around and see Cameron has already started to unpack her things so I lay my boxes on the empty bed and begin to do the same.
"Wanna grab coffee when we finish unpacking? Cameron asks me.
"That sounds great yeah" I reply, relieved she's making an effort as I tend to get socially awkward.
As Cameron and me walk to the on campus coffee shop she tells me she's from New Jersey and has two younger brothers. Me on the other hand, I'm an only child so I slightly envy her having siblings.
We sat for ages enjoying our coffee and having general girly chit chat. Cameron began to tell me she had been talking to this boy from a different college but she didn't know where it was going, so I exchanged some boy talk and told her I had been texting someone too.
Although I left out the part that he was still in high school...
I know this chapter was short but I have exciting things planned for the next few chapters. You can probably already tell the main idea of the story but vote anyway if you want me to continue!
