My dear heartbroken friend,
A soul mate: If you look in the dictionary the definition will most likely come up as a person's destined romantic partner. But to me, a soul mate has more than one definition rather than just being your destined romantic partner. To me, I think that a soulmate is a friend that you can always rely on to have your back and not to cheat on you. They will feel your pain, celebrate your accomplishments, and comfort you when you're sad. If you want to find your soulmate then you shouldn't really have to try because, when you do find your soulmate you'll know right away. I imagine that it is one of those gut feelings like if you're talking to someone and they seem off. It's just kinda one of those things you don't really expect to happen. I've heard that some people's soulmate is their childhood friend and they didn't realize it until one of their hearts gets broken. If you find your soulmate you shouldn't take them for granted because nothing is ever forever. Like the poem, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" once you find something as beautiful and rare as true love you should savor it because you don't know how long you have it. What it means to find your soulmate is that it's time for your heartbreak to end and for you to move on and improve. Once you've found your soulmate you can feel assured that someone will always have you're back and that you can have theirs.
