Lynn's POV
I could barely see anything. The only light coming from a little gap in the doors. I could see out through this gap  I worried people could see in but I couldn't think about that right now I just had to find a way out.

Alfie's POV
Lynn shoved me in a wardrobe. I heard shuffling coming from outside the door when the handle started turning. I could barely breath barely move. Oh Lynn locked it that could buy us some time. I ran out of the wardrobe opened hers and whispered behind the door. We went behind the door so when he figured out how to get it open we could sneak past.

Lynn's POV
His idea was stupid but it's the best we have let's just hope this native is dumb. The knob started turning and the door got pushed on but it didn't open. The door started being banged on. I was so scared but I couldn't do anything. When I looked out the window I saw little Virginia sitting there crying and a native about to grab her. I snapped. ALL I remember is diving out of the window, grabbing her and running, running deep into the woods, deeper than I had even thought about, until I couldn't see the campsite.

Alfie's POV
She is crazy, now I'm alone and about to die. All I can do is pray. When the chief Indian blew into a horn and everyone stopped.
"We must take these whites to Croatoan."ALL the natives started yelling and grabbing people. The ones who were banging at the door stopped. And I didn't know what to do Lynn would die on her own out there. I had to save her the best thing to do is to make her come to Croatoan Island with them.

Lynn's POV
I heard a weird horn and everything stopped. Then yelling began again. I can't believe I left Alfie behind my own blood for a child. Luckily Virginia stopped crying
