Niall's POV

I woke up to a sound of my front door slam shut. "Dad!" I heard a little boy yell, but it didn't sound like James. "Huh?" I said as I walked into the living room "Dad?" The little boy said to me. "I'm not your dad are you lost?" I asked him and he looked like he was about to cry. "My mommy lived here five years ago." The little boy said, and I kneeled down and saw his tears. "Well whats your name?" I asked him and he looked up at me "My name is Carter." He said and I opened my arms for a hug, and he gave in and cried on my shoulder. "It's ok Carter you can stay here for a while... As long as you need." I said and he tightened his grip on my back. "Come on I can show you where you can sleep." I said and he let go,while following me upstairs. "Here." I said while pointing to James' old room "Thanks da- I mean Niall." He said which he was only ten years old so I get it. "You can call me dad Carter." I said and he brightened up. "Ok thanks dad" He said while walking into his room "Goodnight dad." He said while closing his door shut.

James' POV

"Louis I miss my dad." I said cause I really did, and he and Haley looked at me with a weird look. "Oh. I forgot to tell you he and Summer got divorced cause she was cheating on him." Louis said and I looked at him with shock. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME I MISS MY FATHER AND MY FUCKING SISTER! IT'S BEEN SIX YEARS!" I yelled and ran upstairs I packed all my stuff. I ran out the house, and I ran back home. But I got a text from dad

To:That amazing father:I am dad I miss y'all
