VICTORIA: (I'm in my room laying down, paging my friends, when the phone rings. I picked up the phone) Hello?

MOM: Hey baby, it's your mother!

VICTORIA: Hey ma!

MOM: How've you been? How are your brothers?

VICTORIA: There fine.

MOM: Oh Yeah, well how's Merlin?

VICTORIA: (I took a deep breathe) He's.. Been doing aight I guess...

MOM: I hope that means good! (She started laughing. I could tell she was at her office because I heard other men and women talking) I hope you guys are getting along! I really want this relationship with Merlin and you guys to work well okay.

VICTORIA: Okay whatever..

MOM: Okay then?.. Victoria are you alright honey?

VICTORIA: Yeah I'm fine (It's just your fucked up husband I don't like) I'm totally cool.

MOM: ..Okay baby.. Look I gotta go, but just know that I love you guys very deeply and I'd do anything for y'all! Tell your brothers and Merlin I said hey and I love you kay?

VICTORIA: Kay bye ma!

MOM: Bye baby, love you! (She hung up, and I started paging my friends again until Merlin calls me from his room. I walked to his room and knocked on the door. A minute later he opens and lets me in, then he walks over to his draw, the one that he said never to go in, and starts searching for something)

MERLIN: Who were you talking to on the phone

VICTORIA: Mom.

MERLIN: Why she call?

VICTORIA: To let me know she loves us, and hopes we're doing good.

MERLIN: Oh (He finally gets what he needs, then walks back over to me and hands me a 10 dollar bill) Now I want you to go down to Triple Jump and get me a pack of cigarettes and beer. (I couldn't believe it. This fool was sending me to go out into the streets, at 10:30 in the night time!)

VICTORIA: But it's 10:30 at night outside-

MERLIN: Did I ask you what time it? I don't need you to tell me what time it is, that's what the clock is for, to tell time, not you, when I need to know the time, I'll look up there okay?

VICTORIA: Okay, fine.

MERLIN: And you better be back in less than 15 minutes (I went to my room, and grabbed my coat then quickly left. It was cold out, and I walked down to the corner and crossed the street then I went down another corner and went into the store. When I went in It smelled of smoke and alcohol. I quickly went to the back and got a pack of cigarettes and beer, I mean I was under age to buy cigarettes and beer, but the guy at the counter never gave a fuck. I went to the front to purchase it)

CASHIER: Okay that'll be 8.95 which includes tax (I gave him the 10 dollar Bill. He took it and started counting the change) Okay here's your change, will that be paper or plastic?

VERONICA: Paper.

CASHIER: Alright (He puts them in the paper bag and hands it to me) Okay.. here you go, and thanks for shopping at Triple Jump, have a nice night!

VICTORIA: Thank you. (I left quickly to the door and opened it really fast, so fast that I bumbed into a boy and it made the glass containing the beer to fall and spill) Oh my God, I'm so sorry sir, I was rushing and I didn't see you threw the fogged up glass.. I'm so sorry-
