*Ring* The door opened and the bell rang, notifying the workers that a customer has entered the cafe
His raven black hair fluttered in the air as the wind passed him upon closing the door. He glanced everywhere around the cafe until his gaze stopped at one table. He walked towards the table and removed his coat placing it on a vacant chair, "Hi there." the boy greeted.
Seeing the newly arrived boy sit down, he too gave a simple greeting to the other. "Hello." His deep voice reverberated in the air, the other boy couldn't help but let out a smile upon hearing the voice. "You know, I missed those days when we were all together..." The raven black haired boy sighed; his eyes seemed to reflect a deep sadness within him.
"Taeyong hyung, I miss those days too. Years have passed and now they became mere memories." The other boy replied, closing his eyes as he reminisced the past. Taeyong spoke not wanting to talk about it the moment he just came, "Lucas... You got even taller." Taeyong let out a depressed sigh. "Yeah! And somehow, it seems like you got even smaller than the last time we met." Lucas laughed loudly, annoying the other who is now staring at him as if he was looking at a dead man.
"Yo, chill. I'm just kidding." The tall boy quickly added as he saw Taeyong's clenched fists. Taeyong gave out a cold hmph and brought his phone out, not giving any attention to Lucas anymore. "Tch, you're still a sensitive oldie!" Lucas retorted which immediately got the attention of Taeyong staring wide-eyed at him.
"Did you just call me a sensitive oldie!? You insensitive bastard!" Taeyong answered back while playfully punching the tall boy. They both burst out laughing as they continued on berating each other, at the same time, recalling their teenage days where they did the same. The two of them were having fun like kids when someone approached them, "Excuse me, dear sirs. What will you be ordering?" The two both looked at the waiter that just arrived, then they looked at each other and got quite embarrassed. "Sorry, I'd like a caramel macchiato. And one cafe americano, thank you." Lucas spoke as he ordered for the two of them.
Taeyong's expression changed from seriousness to a carefree look as warmth filled him up, seeing that Lucas still remembered what he always ordered. The waiter gave a nod and silently walked away. "Uhh, that was awkward." Lucas chuckled, Taeyong following after.
Instead of immediately going back to what they were doing, they were suddenly in deep thoughts. Not more than 10 minutes passed and the waiter from awhile ago arrived again and placed the newly brewed americano and caramel macchiato on the table. "Thank you." The two customers gave thanks and the waiter showed a smile before leaving.
The atmosphere became a little bit awkward after the two of them got quiet. They both held on their own drinks as they warmed up their hands. Finally, Taeyong couldn't keep it to himself anymore and decided to just bluntly ask. "Lucas, you just arrived but please forgive me, I really need to know what's happening there right now," Taeyong muttered. "It's no problem, I too came here just for this. This is a very important thing so I personally came." Lucas' expression suddenly dulled. Taeyong, afterwards, felt like he's about to know about something he doesn't want to know.
"About Winwin..." Lucas heaved a heavy sigh, "I can explain what I saw and what happened but, I think it would be better to show you something instead." The deep-voiced man opened his bag, taking out a brown envelope. Taeyong eyed the other's movements and came to a halt seeing the brown enveloped placed in front of him.
Taeyong grabbed the brown envelope, and since Lucas wasn't saying nor doing anything, he pondered about it for a bit before removing the seal. He was getting very anxious and didn't dare to quickly take a look at the content. To calm himself, he drank over half the Americano he just ordered. It somehow calmed him down. Time passed very slowly, Taeyong still couldn't get himself to be courageous. I don't care, whatever is inside, I will handle it. He thought before finally taking hold of the content and pulled it out of the envelope. It was a bunch of pictures and upon flipping it to see the images, his eyes grew wide and his hands trembled.
There was a total of four pictures, each showing terrifying scenes. The first picture showed a bed wherein underneath the blanket, the mattress was filled with red colored words, the second showed the walls also filled with writings. The same following words were written:
I'm sorry, forgive me
Please come back
I love you
Why!
It's so cold here
I need you
By then, he guessed that the words were written using blood due to the unusual color and texture of it. The third picture showed a door full of scratchings which Taeyong already perceived as nail scratches and some even had blood trailing... Finally, as his stare turned to the last picture, it looked as if time stopped and his world came to a complete halt. Tears dared to flow out of his eyes and his hands trembled.
In the fourth picture, showed a simple bloody writing on a floor, "Taeyong, I love you." That one sentence came like a grenade blasting unto Taeyong's face. He looked up and closed his eyes, not wanting to cry. He hurriedly stood up and stuffed the pictures back to the brown envelope, he also put on his coat and looked at the other boy. "I'm s-sorry. Excuse me first." He weakly said as he left the cafe.
Lucas didn't stay too long in the cafe as he also left the cafe after paying for both orders. Why did it have to end like this? I'm sorry Winwin... I'm sorry Taeyong. Tears flowed down his face as he stared at the sky, an illusion of Winwin's face appeared and Lucas couldn't help it as he let out a bitter laugh. "Winwin, I'm really sorry. It didn't have to be this way, it's my fault. I shouldn't have done that. Don't worry, I'll pay everything back." He muttered to himself as he took several steps on the road.
Several shouts and the loud sound of a truck honking echoed around the area, a genuine smile showed on Lucas' face, tears continued to flow down as he took one final glance at the sky. Again, Winwin seemed like he was there in the sky looking at him. I'm sorry... I hope it's not too late. He thought before finally, everything went black.

Taeyong sprinted towards the front door upon paying the fare and getting out of the taxi. After entering the house—not bothering to remove his shoes and coat—he went straight to his room, immediately opening a locked drawer and took out his passport and other required things for his return to South Korea. He didn't take any of his clothes because he knew that both his and Winwin's things are being taken care of by a close friend. After grabbing other items, he went to the living room where he left a note of him going somewhere temporarily.
I'm coming!
He hailed a taxi, "Sir, where are we going?" said the driver but got no response. Looking in the rear-view mirror, the driver noticed the man looking lifeless. He coughed lightly snapping Taeyong back to reality who immediately apologized and asked the driver to bring him to the airport.
An hour passed by and Taeyong still couldn't keep himself calm. Fortunately, there was no traffic and after 30 more minutes, they arrived at the airport. As if all the luck was suddenly on his side, Taeyong was able to get on a flight after only a few hours.
"Please be safe Winwin."
