First day of kindergarden,
I'm holding on to Mommy's leg,
Looking 'round at the other kids,
So scared on the inside, I'm crying on the out,
When Mommy leans down and whispers quietly,
Just smile,
You are beautiful and sweet,
Just smile,
To see it is a treat,
Just smile baby, and remember God loves you,
First day of middle school,
I'm holding on to the door handle,
Looking 'round at the other kids,
So scared on the inside, I'm nervous on the out,
When Mommy leans over and whispers quietly,
Just smile,
You are beautiful and sweet,
Just smile,
To see it is a treat,
Just smile baby, and remember God loves you,
First day of Freshman year,
I'm holding on to my new phone,
Looking 'round at the other kids,
So scared on the inside, I'm chill on the out,
When Mommy leans over and whispers quietly,
Just smile,
You are beautiful and sweet,
Just smile,
To see it is a treat,
Just smile baby, and remember God loves you,
First day of College,
I'm holding on to my laptop,
Looking 'round at the other kids,
So scared on the inside, I'm confident on the out,
When Mommy calls me and whispers quietly,
Just smile,
You are beautiful and sweet,
Just smile,
To see it is a treat,
Just smile baby, and remember God loves you,
First day of being married,
I'm holding on to my husband's hand,
Looking 'round at the other kids,
So scared on the inside, I'm happy on the out,
When Mommy calls me and whispers quietly,
Just smile,
You are beautiful and sweet,
Just smile,
To see it is a treat,
Just smile baby, and remember God loves you,
Just smile.
