What Is Perfect?

Dear Mr. White,

As told by my English teacher Ms. Patterson I should treat these letters to you as a diary so I'm going to totally forget that I'm writing a letter to you and just write.

So lately I've been having a lot of fights with Tyler. I know that he flirts with other girls but every time I bring it up he gets really mad and denies it. He even flirted with one of my friends in front of me. I know that it's unhealthy to stay in a relationship like this but I'm still in love with him. He was my first love and I was hoping he'd be my last. I'm also scared to break up with him because of how angry he gets. He has never laid a hand on me but I'm scared that when I do break up with him he will.

I sometimes wish my life was as perfect as the ones I see on tv. Then I think to myself what really is prefect?

Dear MK,

First and foremost, you need to get out of your relationship with your boyfriend. It really does scary me when I hear about women in the situation you are in. I do in fact know how hard it is to break it off with someone that you are in love with. But there is someone else in the world that is going to love as much as you love him maybe even more. Maybe when you do break up with him you should do it in a public place. When I say public place not with too many people that it'd embarrass him but just a bit of people. Maybe a restaurant that isn't too busy/full? You should never have to scared of the one that is suppose to protect you and keep you safe.

Perfect is whatever you make it to be.
