Chapter 12: Costumes

I'm dedicating this chapter to one of my besties who supports me everyday and made me try writing to other people than myself

- "Finish your last two laps and head to the showers, see you next practice guys" -shouts couch from the benches

I'm the first done and into the showers. When I finish I tie my hair into a half ponytail and get a maroon shirt with jean shorts on. I grab my phone and text the girls I'm going, practice might have left me exhausted but I can't miss this party, they are right. I open the girls locker room's door and

- "We should.."

I shout. And hit Dylan with my bag.

- "Stop woman you are so violent" -he protests

- "You. Damn. Idiot. Don't scare me like that. What do you want?" -Definitely pissed

- "Change that face you are getting a car ride come on" - he gestures me to follow him - "Sarah called, she said you are coming to the party and we are going with some of the guys to buy costumes. She and Rose are already there so hurry up"

That was fast for Sarah but I was forgetting I need a costume so thanks bestie. As we approach the car I see Frank, Mathew and Cole next to it, I run to them and shout -"SHOTGUN"

- "Shoot Sab you always go in the front thats cheating" -says Cole whining

- "She won fair and square stop being a baby Cole" -scolds Mathew looking at me with baby eyes

- "Boot liking won't make me give you the front seat Mat so shut up and get into the car.." - While finishing the phrase I hear the car door shut

- "It looks like you where too distracted captain"- says Cole laughing nonstop

- "FRAAAAAANK, you cheater get out of the front seat" -I shout

- "Enough you children get into the car Isabelle, cheater or not Frank won" -says Dylan acting as if he was our father - "hurry or I'll leave you"

- "Yeah yeah we heard grumpy"- I say getting into the car -"at least put good music on, please"

The whole car ride we listened to The Chainsmokers, Frank as copilot chose the music and for my taste didn't get that wrong. I'm still mad at him though. We got to the halloween store and got out of the car. This is one of my favorite stores in town, it's always changing according to the season, like Christmas, thanksgiving, etc

I jump onto Frank's back and order him - "you mister will carry me to the store as payback for what you've done"

- "Are you for real? No way even if it gets me bench time for the next games" -protests Frank and throws me to the street

- "Ouch, that surely hurt" -says Dylan helping me get up and I nod and gesturing to his back he says "hop on"

I laugh and get onto his back and we walk towards the store. Once we are inside I recognize many faces from school

-"Thank you Dyl" -I kiss his cheek and hop off, I think I saw him blushing

Suddenly I see how Dylan and my friends get into some kind of bro hug with some other boys from school, except one of them who I've never seen before. He stopped when he saw me and I smiled. Wow isn't he cute, oh my I'm staring, I look away and see Sarah I run to her and greet Rose as well.

- "Guys I've just seen one hell of a cute guy" -I say

- "Really? Who show us!" -Pleads Sarah

- "Don't look at the same time or you'll be to obvious, he is right.." -as I turn around he is no longer there- "well I can't see him but he was there"

- "Alright let's get back to the costumes then, with Frank we want to get something as a couple so if you get any ideas tell me" - says Rose

- "Luigi and Mario? Meredith and Derek?" - I propose

- "No and Frank is blond you genius" - answers Rose laughing

Sarah gets out of a pile of clothes, when did she get in there?- "Found mine" -showing us a nurse costume in her hand

-"Sarah Parker there is no way in hell you are going as a slutty nurse to that party" -Dylan shouts from somewhere in the store, scary dude, how did he know? I can't stop laughing

- "Okay I like this one then it isn't a slutty firefighter right?" -Asks Sarah and I answer with thumbs up -"Here I have a great idea Rose, what about Hermione and Draco Malfoy? They might not be a couple but it can work"

-"Yes sure! I'll go find Frank and tell him" -she replies and with my crazy friend running away, we were left alone

20 minutes pass and I'm getting bored. I have two options, either going as a soldier or Jessie cowgirl from Toy Story, both are normal sexy but not slutty. I finally go for the cowgirl as I have already the hat at home.

I text my family to know if anyone is near to pick me up and mom answers rapidly. I didn't get to say goodbye to the boys as I did not find them and got into the car. Once home I eat a sandwich and set an alarm on my phone. I need some sleep after the school day and practice. I left everything set on my desk, the only thing missing is the hat that I'll ask borrowed from Sam

I wake up two hours later with the sound of my alarm. I check my phone for any important messages

Rose: so who's driving?
Sarah: Dylan says he is tonights designated driver so you can sleep at my house
Rose: awesome! party AND sleepover
Sarah: okay, Belle we are picking you up on half an hour, be ready

I get up from my bed and walk to my desk. My costume isn't there. Don't panic there is a good explanation for this, there must be. I go to my bedroom door and see a post it stuck there -Sis I need your costume don't hate me, you can use my plan b set on my bed, xoxo Sammy-

Breath don't shout, you can't kill her, that is considered murder and murder takes you to jail. I look at my wrist watch, I have fifteen minutes left before the Parkers get here. I run into Samantha's room and see a red beanie, a white/red strips top and socks and jean shorts on her bed. Well it could be worse.

I try it on and have a look at the mirror, I definitely look good on this costume of Where's Waldo? But one thing is missing. I run into my room and search for my reading glasses. Perfect. I put on some makeup and just as I finish the bell rings.

Hopping down the stairs I see Mom. I run to her and kiss her cheek

- "Don't wait me up, anual halloween party, love you Mom"

As she smiles to me I open the door

- "Waldo?"- Asks Sarah

- "Oh shut up" - I answer pushing her out of the way closing the front door behind me with a smile
