"Dan!" Rachel screamed. "Don't let go!" Dan yelled in return, as his right hand was slipping. He was clinging to the edge whilst holding on to Rachel's clammy, sweaty hands with his left hand. "I can't hold on much longer!" Rachel screamed again. She was crying now, trying to hold on for her life. Dan heard a loud banging in the distance. He didn't know what to do, they were stuck, they weren't going to make it. His arm was burning from holding both of their weight. The banging got closer BOOM, BOOM, BOOM. Dan started to lift with his right arm, but it was no use. The depth below was threatening to consume them by the second. "Dan!" Rachel sobbed. "Hold.....!" Dan couldn't finish before she was gone. Just like that. He had just found her, and now......she's gone. The banging turned into a dull thump and the darkness closed in as his senses were numbing. This was it, he was never going to get back to them. Then he heard something that snapped his attention. The machine was practically upon him when he heard a distant "Dan!". Was that....no....Rachel?
