School's over. He's walkS out of school heading towards the buses when he hears someone call his name. When he turns to see who it is he sees it's Serena pulling up next to him in her convertible.
She waved him over "get in" she says. he's standing next to the passenger door. "I'm actually gonna take the bus so" he says. "oh come on you're going over my place anyways I'll take us there why not get started early?" he tries to think of a reason not to go " I have uh homework" he starts backing away. "wait Asher! we can do homework at my place or anywhere you could actually help me with mine. please just come with me" she looks at him pleading. His mom will be pissed when she finds out he's not home
But.. something in him wants to go, wants to forget about his mom and what's waiting for him at home and be free for a few more hours. He steps toward her car and throw his bookbag in the back seat hoping into her car without opening the door. "Ok let's go." she squeals and smiles putting the car into drive and zooms out if the parking lot. The car is nice.
Nicer than any one his family owned. everyone can see them but he doesn't care what they'll think. She turns up the radio and zooms down the the street she starts singing along with the radio. He notice her glancing at him a few times. He looks ahead and sees a girl walking with a guy. It's the girl that grabs his attention, her shape looks similar to Jasmines. As the ride pass the couple their eyes meet. Jasmine see him as he sees her. She's holding Joe, his supposed to be best friend, hand. He turns the radio up and closes his eyes. pulled shut by betrayal.
