you kept your eyes closed when you woke up, immediately on edge.
someone else was in the room.
"how long has she been asleep?" a voice you didn't recognise asked. "a while. to be fair, she did run from suga's to basically my house, so i'm not surprised." you recognised this voice- namjoon. you kept feigning sleep as the conversation continued. "she ran away? aish, yoongi-hyung must be really scary!" another voice- younger than the two previous- commented.
"i don't think she ran because she was scared. i think she ran because she didn't understand." namjoon said, a profound observation that you couldn't help but be impressed by. it was met by murmurs of agreement by the other members. you realised that now, when you woke up, you were going to have to calculate an appropriate reaction to the three men in your room.
just as you were wondering how to react, the door opened, and two sets footsteps sounded through the room. "she's still asleep?" another unidentified voice asked. "is she dead?" another new voice asked. you heard namjoon sigh, clearly exasperated. "v, if she was dead, do you really think we'd all be stood round her like fucking idiots?" he asked.
you realised, once again, you were now in an even bigger predicament than before. you now had to react appropriately to five men in your room. taking a deep breath you opened your eyes, faking a jump back in surprise. "what the fuck?!" you exclaimed, praying to god your reaction was realistic. you assumed so, since five pairs of eyes were now fixated on you.
you scanned the crowd, evaluating them. of the four newcomers, one you recognised to be jhope- another rapper with brown hair you had seen perform last night, the other three complete strangers. one had bright red hair, another had pink, and another had brown. you blinked, your eyes adjusting to the light and the bright colours of their hair.
"good morning, sleeping beauty." namjoon's voice sent shivers down your spine- and not in a good way. it was hard to believe that this was the same man who helped you in from the storm. it was then that you remembered the phone call you overheard last night- who was he talking to? would that explain your situation? why you were in a mans bedroom- one whom you barely knew- accompanied by four strangers?
you were snapped out of your thoughts by the pink haired boy waving a hand in front of your face. "oy. don't space out, we've been waiting for you to wake up for hours." he complained, clearly irritated. you raised an eyebrow, your more sarcastic side unveiling itself. "oh well i'm dreadfully sorry! next time i find myself in someone's bedroom accompanied by four strangers, having run away from someone who had unusual expertise with a gun i'll be sure to wake up sooner."
you surprised yourself with how viciously you snapped at him, and clearly you surprised the others too, based on their taken aback expressions. "yeah well-" jimin began to retort, but was silenced by namjoon. "my apologies. i was personally against them all being in here, but they were all very eager to see who had caught the eyes of our dear member."
"member? what the fuck are you guys, an after school club?" you snorted, pushing your hair out of your eyes. namjoon raised his eyebrow at you. "you know, you're being awfully rude considering you're a guest in my home." you raised your eyebrow in return. "well, if i was getting breakfast in bed right about now, perhaps i'd be less rude." you retorted sarcastically.
"well, that's not really the kind of service we supply." jhope interjected, a playful yet intimidating grin on his face. "so what services do you supply?" you enquired, immediately regretting your question. "i think suga would rather explain that himself." namjoon clarified. "please make everyone's lives easier and wait here until he arrives."
you let out a loud sigh as the boys began to disperse. "can i at least get a fucking coffee? ya know, if you're going to be keeping me prisoner and all." you shouted after them, following it with how you like your coffee. the boys chuckled, and you could have sworn you heard namjoon tell one of them to make it for you.
no more than five minutes later, the other brown haired boy arrived, carrying a cup of coffee, careful not to spill anything. "i made it how you like it." he said with a bashful smile. you sighed, too exhausted to be angry. "thanks." you muttered, taking the cup and drinking it as though you'd been dehydrated for weeks. the boy smiled, exiting the room, leaving you alone, once again.
now that you were alone with your thoughts and an incessant headache, you had a lot to process. you decided to run things over in your head. okay, so- meet cute guy. flirt a bit, go on a few dates. after that, go back to his for the first time, random man turns up and threatens him. cute guy then shows EXTREME skill with a gun. you run away, find a strange man in the rain, decide to go into his house, fall asleep and discover they're members of what you assume is a gang.
you rubbed in between your eyes with a sigh of frustration as you drank your coffee, despite the fact it was still boiling. while you were sipping, you heard the door slam open. "where is she? what the fuck have you done?" you recognised the voice immediately- it was yoongi. you felt a twinge in your stomach- a feeling you couldn't place. remorse, attraction, terror- there were so many conflicting emotions swirling inside you.
before you could process any of the emotions you felt, yoongi burst into the room. your fingers curled tightly round the handle of your mug, your breath catching in your throat. you hated that he was still stunning, even in a loose black tshirt and black joggers. he had heavy black bags beneath his eyes, accentuating his pale skin.
"(y/n)... let me explain."
