Over Time

Chapter 2

After helping out with dinner and eating, I decided to go to sleep early, and skip dessert. When I went up to my room I changed into a baggy T-shirt and shorts. I laid in my bed, but I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about the football incident, and the guy. Maybe he would be there tomorrow, and I could see him. That was the plan, I rolled on my side.

It was sunny this morning. Perfect day for a walk. I got dressed in jeans and my now clean sweater. I skipped down the stairs and went for the door.

" Whereda think your goin kid" Sans voice called from the kitchen clearly tired

" Uhhh, on a walk "

" Yeeeah sure, take the rock then "

" I'm not bringing a ROCK on a walk "

" Then your not leavin kid "

" Ughhhhhhhhhh, Give me the stupid rock! "

He laughed as I marched over to the table the rock was displayed on. I mumbled to myself as I walked back for the door. I yanked it open and quickly walked out making sure to leave the rock on the doorstep. I loved Sans, he's a great friend. But sometimes he can get really annoying, this was one of those times.

I skipped down the street taking in the sun. The flowers were more open today letting out a sweet smell the pastries made in the bakery. I was so distracted that I almost didn't see his friend Jacob walk by me.

" Oh, hey its you, uhh the girl from yesterday " He said while smiling

" Yeah "

Now that I saw him up close, he looked cute. He didn't have a visible jawline but he had younger features. His black curly hair weaved around itself in the breeze. He had a very light tanned skin tone to him. His eyes were the icy blue that you could feel cold type.

" Let me guess, your looking for him "

" Oh no, just a regular walk " I lied, but why

" Yeah, well either way, he's moving it was his last day yesterday. I just nodded and looked at him curiously.

" What are you doing out " I asked changing the subject

" Oh, walking around just like you. " He let out in a higher octive

I smiled

" Wanna walk around together then, since we are both just walking around " I asked nervously

" Sure " He answered almost automatically

We walked around for hours, the day flew by. We talked about our lives and what we did. He showed me a beautiful garden and bought me a cupcake. We both split it and I laughed to myself as I let him walk around with a smudge of frosting on his face. We went into a pet shop that apparently his mother owned. I got to pet various animals, even a snake. He laughed as I almost screamed while he gently guided my hand over the snake. I had the best day ever, not what I expected either. He had walked me home and I noticed the rock was still on the doorstep.

" G'night, catcha later Chara "

" Night " I called back cheerfully

I grabbed the rock and walked into the house. It was dark so I flicked on the light and almost laughed. Sans was sitting on the couch with his arms crossed and dark eyes. He looked like an angry dad.

" What's wrong with you. Finally break your funny bone " I teased

" First of all, where were you! Second of all, you didn't walk the rock " He said with an edge to his voice.

" Geez, sorry mom " I said dramatically

" There's spaghetti in the fridge " He relaxed

" Why are you so worried I can take care of myself " I fummed

" I'm not worried, okay " He replied quickly

I rolled my eyes and went up the stairs back to my room. I collapsed on the bed and smiled to myself. And I thought the other guy was better, this one was way more. I gushed and rolled over, suddenly feeling tired. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
