I'd arrived home, creaking the wooden door open as I stepped inside my dense and dirty apartment.

Almost all the lights were off, the only somewhat source of light was one window.
It was at the top of one of the high walls, just under our ceiling. So high we could never put curtains on it..

Wait, curtains.. why are all the curtains drawn?
I let out a brief sigh, my eyes wandering to Damien, who was passed out on the couch.

Why did he need me to come home so early?

I sighed, walking over to him.
I quickly scanned for his phone, but not seeing it anywhere.

That's strange?

I raised an eyebrow before leaning over Damien and quickly shaking him awake.
He seemed extremely drowsy, it was unnatural..

"Damien? Babe.. wake up.." I muttered, still shaking him.

His eyes weakly opened, before shutting again.

"B.. Boze...?" He whispered, trying to open his eyes.

"Yeah. What's wrong with you?" I huffed, standing up straight.

"Boze.. boz.." it was then his eyes opened and he looked me straight in the eyes.
"Boze.. run." He whispered.

"What?" I asked, confused.
It was an odd thing to say, run? From what..

"R..un..." his voice only just made out before he passed out.

"What? Damien.. what am I running from?" I called, shaking him again. "Damien?"

Okay, Now. I was worried.
Damien was never this deep of a sleeper, no matter how long or late he was awake for..

It was then, my attention cracked as I noticed an unfamiliar bottle sitting on the dining table.

My curiosity peaked alongside my fear as I slowly made my way around the couch and to the table.

As I grew closer, I slowly became more attentive to my surroundings, fearing someone lurking in the shadows of my dim lit apartment.

I reached for the small, brown bottle.
Holding he glass in my hand, I turned it.
Reading the faded, white label.
My heart sank.

My eyes quickly veered from the bottle, to the table.
Something I hadn't noticed before, all the objects that we once held on this table were now scattered all around the floor.

I traced the direction with my eyes, before coming across a white piece of cloth, laying on the floor.

I knew then, I had to get out.

One things for sure, Damien didn't drug himself.

And it was then, I heard the bathroom door slowly creek open from behind me.
