Some small insignificant moments, just become an indispensable part of our lives. This post is about those little insignificant moments in life, that don't get credit. These little experiences and observations aren't recorded much. We all may want to give a record of that trip to U.S. when you visited the White House, or that time when you got all A's in your report card. But do you really care about the last time drinking water felt good?
Don't remember? No sweat buddy, I'll be talking about these little things.
Here's a list of this small world that encompasses my entire world:
1. As I've mentioned earlier, let me talk about water. Water tastes better when it's cold doesn't it? It's really .. i donno.. cool to taste the H2O-ey taste of water and feel that coldness swish down your oesophagus.. (yes, pun intended)
2. The smell of washed clothes. They smell so fresh and clean and detergenty, and it invokes this 'this is home' feeling in me while doing chores.
3. The feel of the wind in your hair. Rhetorical much? But my version isn't. After lunch, when I don't feel like doing homework, I open my window and stick my head out. It is kind of a relief from all that air conditioning. This hot, pleasantly blowing wind is almost definite at the 14th floor of the building, and another factor is that our house is pretty close to the sea, so I guess I have the sea to thank for it's sea breeze serving as a get away from all the air conditioning (and maybe homework too).
4. Non soggy cornflakes. Isn't it a relief when your cornflakes don't soak up the entire bowl of milk and are just this wee bit wet from the milk, but not soggy? Kudos to having cornflakes immediately after pouring milk in them.
5. Hugs. They're just so comfy and cuddly and I love getting them and giving them. Not the superficial ones that go with high-pitched giggles of elongated 'Hi's' and a pretentious kiss on the cheek. Bitch please. However hugs are a form of greeting, but I prefer getting them from close friends and family. They're also the symbol of bestie-ism and no friendship (among girls like me at least) is complete without hugs.
Hugs can be flattering too. Like I give my classmate a good morning hug everyday. Another of them is kind of short, and really cute and cuddly (I got to know so after hugging her :P ) and whenever she comes up to talk to me in my seat, I greet her with an elongation of her name and bada bing! a hug :P (Sometimes I think she's so flattered by it she comes over to get my hugs.. I jus keed ;))
The point is hugs denote love. And what better time to show this in a dark and dreary situation? Smallest example would be getting awfully low marks in a test and getting a hug. That's comforting. You can have your own versions of a bigger example, but hugs are comforting and convey a sense of 'I'll Be There For You' from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
Concluding with the words 'These are a FEW of my favourite things'
